Re: Meanwhile, back at the ranch
Julian's smile is warm, effusive, and wholly genuine. Captain Strauss just /went there/.

"Well, Captain, I understand you when you say that you're department is at a loss. You've laid off two-hundred cops due to a sixteen percent loss of funding over the last three years, the 5th Precinct vice-unit was ensnared in a corruption scandal six months ago and you've had sixteen transfers to FBI in the last eighteen months." Julian says, producing a manila folder and handing it to the host.

"All of this information is posted for public consumption at the following website address." Julian says, as the website for New York City's government domain is flashed across the bottom of the screen.

"Now, please forgive me. I attended college but I'm a little confused on who you're referring to when you mention 'people like that'. Are you discussing humans and mutants who happen to be homeless, mutants who happen to live in Mutant Town, or just mutants in general?

I think the people would like to hear your department's official response regarding 'people like that' and how it relates to your deapartment's stance on racial profiling." Julian says, looking genuinely concerned as he leans a bit closer to Captain Strauss.

One might almost think /he/ was the one giving the interview.
