Dinner and People Watching (Friday Night)
Anya was running on time for a change. At promptly 5:45 she was downstairs in the foyer waiting for Iason. She was dressed in a little black dress, heels and her hair done. It had only taken her an hour to get ready, which for her had to be some sort of record.

They had 6:30 reservations at Mesa Grill. Six would have been difficult to make and they weren't in a rush. Mesa Grill should be extremely busy, it was a Friday night and dinner time, and would be a great opportunity for Iason to watch humans. Anya had to drop the Stark and Romanov names to even get a reservation.

She double checked her appearance. She wasn't nervous, she just knew that there would be paparazzi and she always wanted to look her best.

She waited patiently for Iason.

At least when the paparazzi are out, this will make some great photos. Iason is dressed to the nines - he had Kal's help picking out a suit, and thankfully he has enough experience dressing up for everything from Shi'ar weddings to the rather impressive Skrull masquerades to be able to figure out how everything went... well, other than the tie. He needed to hyper-flight it over to his cousin's for help with the tie. But otherwise...

He's rarely nervous. Really, its more the worries that Eliza brought up about whether this was being perceived as a date or not that had him on edge at all. Otherwise, perfectly calm.

	Anya blushed and smiled. "So do you. Between the two of us, we'll turn some heads tonight." She adjust her purse strap on a shoulder. "Ready? I hired a car. I didn't want to subject you to my driving." Though she would have loved to take her bike. She finished it not long after she got it for Christmas and hadn't had much of a chance to ride her. 	She blushed even more. "Oh it's pretty bad. My dad thought I would have a wreck the first week. I think he's still waiting for that to happen." She took the offered arm. "I got us reservations at Mesa Grill. It's Southwestern style food. It'll be very busy so there will be a good chance to people watch." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Still not worried about it. Benefits of being an Eternal, car wrecks are mild inconveniences. And I'm sure you drive something suitably impressive. I should probably learn to drive... I'd say its probably easier than flying most space ships, but that's like cursing the lessons."
When she takes his arm, he heads for the door, taking care to pause to open it for her. "I have no idea what differentiates southwestern from anything else, but I'm sure it will be wonderful. You'll have to recommend something."

"Yes, but for us humans they can be devastating or even fatal. I was in a bad accident when I was younger." If it weren't for the nanites in her body, she'd be in a wheelchair.

"I'd offer to teach you, but you'd learn how you shouldn't be driving. One of the adults might be better teachers. Sammy as well."

She smiled and stepped through the doorway.

"I promise the food will be good and I can recommend a few dishes."

"Thanks, I'll ask Sammy to teach me. She seems nice, and her finals are finished, or should be. Besides, I understand at some point I should speak to her father." He's done enough of these 'come to a new planet things' to know the formalities involved.
"That's true, but if you're going to be driving one way or another, can't hurt to have someone along who can get out of the wreck ok... besides, despite your father's fears, doesn't sound like you've been in that dreaded wreck yet. So can't be too bad, right?"

	"Sammy is nice and I'm sure she'd teach you. Might be wise to talk to Uncle Nick, or have one of the adults do it. I'm sure S.H.I.E.L.D. gets regular updates about us kids." The car was waiting. 	"I talked to Sammy a little bit, and looked up information on her family. I don't mind going to talk to the director of SHIELD. Probably best to assure him the Eternals aren't planning on showing up in any numbers." He steps away from her to the limo and holds the door open for her before he slides in after. 	Before she could answer the waiter came over to take their order. She looked over at Iason. "I recommend the Spicy Tuna and Salmon Tartares for an appetizer and the Sixteen Spice Duck Breast for an entree," she told him. "In fact, I think I'll have those," she said to the waiter.
