BBQ time
True to his word, Jordan found the kitchen, but no one cooking. Finding a good selection of the food put out for their arrival, but no grill, he takes a couple grates apart, cleans them up, and sets up a firepit outside with makeshift grills over it. A good fire follows, and its not long before the phantom smells of steak earlier are becoming real ones. The heat doesn't seem to bother him any, beyond being warm enough to hang his shirt over a tree branch. Despite his commentary, he hasn't given anyone a hard time for bikinis or lack thereof.

	Jordan dishes out the steak, then loads a plate with seconds for anyone who wants them, setting it next to the grill. "Great, looking forward to seeing what you come up with. For everyone else, I'll have the program set up tonight, people can play with designs. I've got a couple other projects to work on too to make this place a little more homey." 	Issues, much? Marrina wondered, after Emily's statement. True, she hadn't always gotten along well with Dan and Sarah Smallwood, but they'd raised her like their own, when they did not have to. "In all non-Schmaltzy seriousness? Yeah, I have. I wasn't kidding about the computers and robotics thing. My father did build the original Box armor and all, and apparently even though he died before I was born, I got some of his aptitude. I also own Bochs electronics and seventeen patents... getting computery things isn't hard. When I heard they were putting a new Alpha Flight together, I did my research, read the forms in both French and English to make sure neither language's fine print had anything extra sneaky, talked to my parents and my uncle, and signed on because I thought we had a chance to do some real good here. I don't trust Department H, nor K, and I seriously doubt they have our tastes or interests in mind as far as creating costumes, outfitting rooms for comfort or anything else that doesn't involve us making them look good and occasionally keeping Canada safe. I didn't have to join... I volunteered. So now I'm going to do my bit to try and make people a little more comfortable, because I can."

He glances about, the slight grin returning. "That I ended up teamed with three genuinely pretty women and a pretty cool shapeshifter is just bonus. If you can put up with me being a shameless flirt, now and then I can be kind of handy to have around... and I want to help everyone else settle in easier too."

"Actually none of those are his. The Box armor alone involved seventy four patents, and Bochs electronics still owns some of those, as well as a handful of other things he's developed. Most of my patents are refinements of my father's work or my dad's work in order to keep older developments current and legally protected, and a few things I wanted to play with. So the seventeen are mine, but not all of them are new, groundbreaking things, exactly. And yes, we're all going to need codenames."

The differentiation between father and dad is fairly clear. Father usually being said in a manner that more or less indicates 'sperm donor who left me a bunch of money that I've never known', with mother being said in about the same tone, should it come up, while Mom and Dad are more clearly the people he credits with raising him.
