Let's do this

X-Force, plus Foxx, sped toward the Land of the Rising Sun with all due haste to rescue Rose. Joey is quite during the flight, ready to do whatever is necessary to save his woman the moment they touch down. Honestly, he doesn't have a plan besides "find Rose, kill whoever took her, bring Rose home."

That doesn't bother him much, because X-Force has operated on less of a plan than this before and come out all right.

"Are we there yet, Ana-Pants?" Joey asks, utterly serious for once. He was ready to throw down.

Rose looks up at Foxx with eyes clouded by pure rage. The pain from the various different things they'd drugged her up with seemed to fade into the background in light of white hot rage.

She picks up the keys and grins a very feral grin. There is next to nothing human in her expression.

"I'm goin' ta be wearin' yer guts fer garters," she growls

She forces herself to move, to unlock the door.

"And I'm gonna enjoy it."

"Not as much as I enjoyed Johnny screamin' my name last night before he heard you were here. He gets /so/ into the good stuff. He's so enthusiastic and dirty.

But you knew that already, didn't you, Claws?" Foxx asks, cocking her gun and aiming. She fires before Rose can even push the door open.

Luckily, this cell is sound-proofed, as she suggested the idea to Harada when he built it.

	Foxx leaps away from Rose into a pair of backflips that put a little bit of distances between them. Foxx knew this wouldn't be easy; if it was going to be, it wouldn't be worth doing. She fires two more shots at Rose before heading for the steps leading up into the house. "Time to walk the doggie." she taunts, firing another shot behind her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The one bullet hits, going straight through her shoulder. Rose let out a growl of pain, but kept moving. She popped her claws--that hurt, but her face didn't betray it. Instead, she kept moving, and tried to tackle Foxx when she reached the steps. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Rose doesn't completely catch Foxx, but she does unbalance her enough that Foxx misses a couple of steps on the stairs and slips, costing her precious seconds that Rose can use to close the distance between them.

Foxx doesn't want to be near those claws, and she turns and fires blindly at Rose, trying to keep her from getting any closer. The shots are frantic and imprecise, however, giving Rose plenty of warning if she chooses to dodge.

Foxx takes the slash in her back as Rose's claw shreds into her black leather jacket, which is composed of her skin. Foxx screams in rage and pain, then levels a snap kick at Rose's jaw.

"Bitch! I'm gonna kill you!" Foxx screams, firing again before limping up the stairs.

She doesn't think the bullets alone are going to do the job, but she's got one more idea: the well in the back of the house. If she can toss Claws in there, then it's game over.

	It's painful, but Rose's healing factor seems to have finally gotten on top of itself, patching up her injuries more quickly. She keeps coming. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Foxx breaks for it, pushing aside old and young women alike as she makes her way through the kitchen and out the back way. She even shoots a couple on the off-chance that Claws is a sucker for a bleeding person.

"Then again, she might just stop to eat them, the stupid bitch." Foxx grumbles to herself as she can see the back of the estate and the brick-and-mortar well in the center.

She turns and waits for Rose now, raising both of her guns.

"Okay, Dog Bitch. Bring your flea-bitten ass out here and let's finish this." Foxx snarls.

	Maybe she should be a better hero, but right now, Rose is functioning on pure rage and adrenaline, red threatening to swarm her vision. "Yeah, that's right, Claws. Talk Doggy to me." Foxx snarls, blocking the incoming swipe and attempting to land a punch to the gut. She was trained by two of the finest killers in any world and she was /not/ going to let this sub-human skank beat her.

How could Johnny love something like /this/?

"You see how you are right now, Claws? You and I both know this is who you /really/ are, deep down. You're a killer, just like me. If you had to choose between loving Johnny and bein' an animal, you'd pick bein' an animal Every. Single. Time." Foxx taunts.

"And Johnny knows it, too. I faked a lot of things in this, but I didn't fake what you did to those men in that restaurant. I set that up to show Johnny that, at the core, you're just an animal pretendin' to be a real woman."

Rose herself had been trained by one of the nastier customers to ever walk any Earth. Maybe she wasn't quite as fancy-pantsed about it, but she could give as good as she got. She let out woof of air when the bodyblow connected, but dropped down for a leg sweep instead.

"Lady, you ain't sayin' nothin' I ain't already told myself. But Joey... Joey's a reason worth comin' back to."

"Even if you're gonna end up killin' him someday in one of your little murderous rages? I saw you fight. You couldn't control yourself then anymore than you can now!" Foxx says.

The leg sweep knocks her on her ass, but she's already rolling away from Rose, trying to stay a step ahead of those claws. She's seen what those can do, too. She loses her gun in the fall and curses mentally.

"You're just gonna tie him down and he'll vanish on you in the middle of the night, the way he did me." Foxx says, drawing her knife. She'll just have to cut her to ribbons, then.

	Rose let out a low growl. The words cut deeply. For her, control was a daily fight, a center always being sought, a battle always being fought. But what made it easier was having a reason to come back out of those rages. To be a woman and not an animal. Joey. 	"Argh!" the slash nearly took Rose's eye, settling instead for a cut across her cheek and forehead, dripping blood into her eyes as it heals. Fortunately, even without being able to see, her nose and ears let her keep an approximation of where Foxx is. She takes a step back, then springs forward, claws out. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Rose stabs Foxx in the arm, drawing a howl of pain from the blue-haired woman that causes her to fall to her knees. 	It may have well been proof that Foxx was right about her, but there was something distinctly satisfying about stabbing her. Rose grunts, taken by surprise by the force of the blow. If Foxx was gonna run, now was the time. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Foxx was going to run, she'd planned on it, but...if she ran, that meant that Claws won. She'd get to keep Joey and go home and live the rest of her life.

She'll always be able to say she beat me. She'll turn Johnny against me...and someday, he'll be dead because of her and I'll have to live with it.

Foxx comes to her feet growling. She throws a right cross at Rose, followed by a kick, screaming at the top of her lungs.

"YOU'RE NOT TAKING HIM AWAY FROM ME! I'LL DIE BEFORE I LET YOU HAVE HIM!" she screams, swinging blindly.

	Rose parries the first blow, managing to get her wits back just in time. The kick hurts, but gives her time to get in close, ready to stab. If she can connect, she'll use the leverage to throw Foxx up and over her shoulder. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
