Karaoke
He'd found one -- an all-ages karaoke bar. A night out for him, Andrea, Kassi, and Ben. No mention of the trouble at home for now.

"A root beer, please -- Abita, if you've got it -- and the lady will have a Cherry Coke."

	Outside of the events in Latveria, Andrea is not especially familiar with Kassi, but she knows Mac, and knows he would not have invited her and her date if he did not believe it would be fun for all. Besides... she rather loved karaoke. "Thank-you, Mac," she said. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"You're welcome," he says as he hands her the glass. "Just to be clear, Andrea, this is Ben Parker, point guard for Midtown High. Ben, my girlfriend, Andrea Denker." He manages to leave off the 'Awesome.' For now. If he recognized her, he did, otherwise, no need to emphasize the superhuman ties, even if they weren't technically revealing their heritage. The 'girlfriend' is a pretty darn savorable word, though, still very new.

"And yes, Kassi, they've got Coke, no problem."

Ben /thinks/ he's seen Andrea on TV before with one of the super-teams. Dad or May would know for sure, but he doesn't want to bring either of them up, because it might spill the beans about them.

And Ben certainly can't talk about how /he/ knows a few members of the hero-set. Some of the memories were still a little painful.

"Nice to meet you, Andrea. You probably know Kassi, who is my...friend." Ben says. He can't call Kassi his girlfriend because they haven't known each other long and they haven't even had that kind of conversation yet.

But he'd like to.

Ben turns to the person at the counter. "Can I get one Coke and one Cherry Coke, please? Thanks." Ben says. He can get away with one Cherry Coke tonight and that's it.

"Okay, so who is singing first and what? I've got my song ready." he grins.

She fidgeted a little. It was weird going on a double date that she was pretty sure wasn't a date for her and Ben at all. He hadn't said anything about it or really acted much like he was even that interested. He just seemed...cool.

Maybe she needed to wear tighter tops or something. More lipstick. Maybe. As was, she barely wore makeup, but guys like that sort of thing, right? She'd have to ask Mac. And try to find out what Ben liked.

"I...I don't sing."

	"Well, if no one else will, then I will." Ben grins. He goes to the DJ and checks to be sure they've got his song on the machine. Soon enough, a very familiar guitar riff echoes throughout the room. 	Andrea took the stage, and the music started up. It had taken a great deal of programming to get herself to be able to sing properly, but once she had, it was easy to adapt for new songs. She launched into her song. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Ben snickers at Kassi. "Did you really turn purple over her or was that the lights?" Ben asks, scooting a little closer to her. He listens to Andrea sing her song and laughs. "My problem at karaoke is that my favorite bands don't write a lot of songs meant to be sung by happy people." He grins. "So it going to have to be an Oldie." He heads up. 	"I...I'd like to try it." Kassi wasn't sure if she'd said that very loudly or if she'd said it at all for a moment, the idea sucking the air from her lungs with the most delicious form of shock.
