Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (X-Men and X-Force)
Christmas. Yule. Saturnalia. Dies Natalis Solis Invicti. Many cultures have celebrated and still celebrate a winter festival. There have been many names for it over the millennia. No matter the name it is a time to come together and celebrate with feasts and gifts with friends and loved ones.

Each culture has a legendary figure who would deliver gifts to children during this time. In Russia and some Slavic cultures he is known as Ded Moroz, Grandfather Frost, and comes not on Christmas but on New Year’s along with his granddaughter Snegurochka, or ‘”Snow Maiden”. In the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe he is known as Father Christmas. In the Netherlands and Belgium he is known as Saint Nicholas or “Sinterklaas” and in France he is known as Père Noël. In the United States we know him as Santa Claus.

No matter the name or who is delivering gifts, it is the season of peace, joy and togetherness. It is the season for thinking about loved ones, friends and those less fortunate. It is a time to witness the goodness and generosity the human race is capable of. It is a time for peace on Earth and goodwill toward man.

Rose gives away what she gets, Rachel, just like ninety percent of people out there. If she thinks she's bein' attacked, she's gonna fight back as a knee-jerk reaction. Doesn't help if you start the conversation lookin' down your nose at her, which it seems like you've perfected. When was the last time you tried talkin' to her like she was a person and not somethin' you scraped off your shoe and realized you had to deal with?" he asks.

	Rachel is about to protest again, when she shuts her mouth. Joey's intentions, even without her telepathic abilities here are so earnest and open that she can help but be taken by it. "I had this same talk with her, earlier." Joey says. "You two are a lot more alike than you think. For one thing, she looked for reasons not to like you, too...but she's lost a good friend of hers and now she's got three other friends in the same predicament as she is, Rachel."

He favors Rachel with one of his charm-school smiles.

"I'm not sayin' you two need to be best buddies tomorrow or nothin'...but focus on the fact that you share a mother. Maybe you two can play cards or somethin'. If nothin' else, you'll both make Mrs. Summers happy." he says.

"I didn't meant to take up much of your time, Rachel, but thanks for provin' that every girl I know named Rachel isn't crazy." he smirks.
