Goddess's Day Out
Asleif continued to travel the world, occasionally rendering aide as she saw fit to those she saw fit to render it to. Which seemed all the more often these days. The world news was filled with reports of the odd mudslide which missed a village or a trail which stopped moments before a collision, and smaller, human interest stories of lost pets suddenly returning home.

But today was decidedly a day for herself, or at least, a day for friends, of which she had precious few.

She appeared in the lobby of the Fantastic Four's headquarters and informed the clockwork golem at the desk that she was here to see Vincent.

Vincent nods, laying his menu flat to point out some items. "It uses the Japanese names for the various types and grades. These ones here are combinations of ingredients rolled up together, and these ones are solid cuts of fish laid atop small blocks of pressed rice.

These ones here, egg, shrimp, crab, and eel, are all cooked in a certain manner, so they're generally a good place to start."

A few more explanations about items on the menu, and they both manage to order without a problem.

They eat in comfortable silence for a short while, before Vincent seems to have a thought crystallize.

"Thank you, Asleif." He lowers his head slightly. "This.. this sort of afternoon; you make this easy. Truthfully, I needed something like this recently." He appreciated spending time with Andrea, Shanna, or MacKenzie as well, but he still felt a particular kinship with Asleif. They could spar with one another verbally, and the casual brand of candor felt natural and enjoyable.

In the southeast, my own mentor, Jennifer Kale, is currently relieved from the 'burden' of my own education as well." He smirks. "Don't let her lack of 'press' fool you. She's an exceptional sorceress."

He thinks over other options. "You served admirably with the Defenders, I understand. There are any number of other heroic organizations within this country alone that could benefit from your aid."
