"Not at all. Was just talking to HERBIE."

She smiles. "You know, it is the strangest thing, but when we were dating, Vincent was quite certain that there was something wrong with HERBIE. I never could figure it out."

Mac shrugs. "Couldn't say. I don't know him as well as all of you do, obviously." It seemed pretty reasonable for a robot like that to feel 'one of the family' enough to go into fraternal threat mode, anyway. Not that Mac knew all that much about robots.

And out they head. "So were you and Vincent serious?" he asks casually.

"I have never witnessed any anomalous behavior for him, so I could not say," Andrea admits.

"For a certain value of serious," she tells him. "We were exclusive, but made no long term plans of any nature."

Mac listens and nods.

"Not having had any relationships prior to that," Andrea elaborated, "I cannot accurately determine how serious it was beyond that."

"Understandable. No prior seriousness on my end," Mac says with a shrug. "Just a few dates here and there."

"No dalliances with green women, then?" Andrea asked, but then winked. "Or has TV lied to me about what space is like?"

"Heh. Most of the green women I met, I was meeting under terms of the Aid to Sentient Beings protocol or helping Dad stop them from kidnapping people. Badoon and Skrulls are pretty different, but both worlds really give the girls some major trust issues."

"I imagine they would," Andrea agrees. "Skrulls, at least. I am not especially familiar with the Badoon."

"Ugh. It's messed up. The Badoon Brotherhood's known in local galactic circles for treating livestock a lot nicer than women."

"I am always amazed by the hostility of so many alien races. I would have thought any race which could cooperate enough to achieve regular spaceflight would be more peaceful."

"Well, when you think about it, a lot of cultures create unity by fostering hostility against another group. Most don't necessarily get all Battle of the Sexes in their fascism, but..." he shrugs.

Andrea nods. "You are correct, I believe," she tells Mac. "I imagine you have seen many cultures at their worst."

"Understandable," Andrea agreed. "When I was first began to accompany the Fantastic Four, I was occasionally given smaller duty tasks or asked to guard the Fantasticar."
