Magic in the Magic Kingdom
With Kristoff and Cassie off doing their own thing, it left Andrea and Vincent plenty of alone time to explore the happiest place on Earth together.  Together.  Such a strange and pleasing thought.  Andrea would not have believed it possible before now, had not understood the strange feelings that had filled her processor.    But now, feelings had been admitted and a coupling established.  And in the busy summer season, it was remarkably easy for the two youngest members of the Fantastic Four to pass completely unnoticed amongst the crowd (other than being two rather attractive young individuals.  One particular passerby had questioned if they were stars from one of the many teen dramas on television).

Andrea already considered the day to be quite the success  She had a mouse-eared hat and she had managed to convince Vincent to wear one as well.  They had already been through the Haunted Mansion and been quite pleased to pretend to be impressed and frightened by the ghosts.  Considering they had encountered real ghosts before, it was not nearly as frightening as it could have been.

Now, however, they were standing in-line for the Pirates of the Carribean.  Andrea had seen the movies on DVD and had created quite the catelog of historical facts (unrelated the the ficticious event of the movie themselves) that had been incorrect in the presentation.  Hopefuly, the ride would be more accurate.

She looked to her right and smiled at Vincent.  "Are you enjoying yourself?"

"I'm certainly enjoying my company." Vincent smirked.

For his part, he'd found his first foray into an actual relationship to be more than satisfactory. Andrea was delightful to spend his time with, held intelligent conversations, but was ignorant enough of magic to be fascinated when he brought it up. They had enough in common to hold a conversation at length, but enough differing points of view to keep them from stagnating.

It also didn't hurt that he still found her quite pleasing to look at as well, and she showed more than a fair interest in him as well. He'd always heard it said that women pursued 'attached' men more than single ones, but thankfully he'd yet to confront that. A few passing flirtatious smiles, but here, on vacation, everyone seemed too busy.

He was even enjoying himself enough that he'd relented to her request that he engage in wearing.. the ears.

Andrea had thought Vincent had looked absolutely adorable in the ears and had been certain to tell him so.

"I am glad. I am as well."

For this was her first relationship, but as far as she was concerned, it was going quite well. And now that their feelings for each other had been admitted, her thoughts on Vincent were much more regulated, although, perhaps, taking up more of her processing than before.

The line was moving quickly enough(though she resisted the urge to actually time it), and soon enough the found themselves on the ride itself. A specialized device kept both the denser than human half-Asgardian and android from adversely affecting the ride.

However...

Andrea grew puzzled. "I was not aware they employed so many robots here," she said, as they caught sight of the animatronic pirates.

That had been why he was having a good enough time.

"Well... It's not as if they're androids in the sense that you are, or even the lesser level that HERBIE is at..." Vincent surveyed the ride, tapping his fingers to the song playing.

"They're closer to being environment than being employees. Like reasonably complicated furniture." He gave her a lopsided grin. "I imagine for one such as you this is something like a human attending an exhibit on lower primates."

"Oh," she replied, nodding slightly, returning his smile. "I understand. Not a particularly advanced..."

She paused midsentence, as the ride progressed to the inclusion of Jack Sparrow. "Oh my."

Vincent followed her gaze. "Ah yes.. I read that they renovated the ride to include elements of the movie characters some time ago." He slipped an arm around her shoulders, nudging her to lean against him if she wished.

A Johnny Depp robot is quite pleasing to the eye, but only that. It does not occupy her processor for any significant amount of time, or spring spontaneous recursive thought patterns.

No, those things are very much reserved for the young Asgardian sitting next to her, the one which she leans against.

"That increases the number of historical inaccuracies to the ride by more than 30."

"If accuracy were all anyone was concerned about, the world would be deprived of many great storytellers and their works." Vincent smiles, giving her shoulder a squeeze.

Watching her eyes flit between him and the things on exhibit kicked up a concern of his about the relationship in general, but it could most certainly wait a good while. As it stood, this vacation was a very extended first date, and he intended to enjoy it to the fullest.

Whatever 'the fullest' entailed for Andrea's intentions anyway. It's not as if he was ever brutish with a woman, but for the first time, Vincent wanted someone else to set the pace.

"A good point," Andrea conceded.

She was, in point of fact, running several different thought strings at once. The largest, roughly sixty-four percent, was devoted to Vincent and simply enjoying his company. Another, of about fifteen percent, was devoted to analyzing where she wished for things to progress and when. The remainder was split between cataloging inaccuracies, general analysis for possible dangers, and basic system regulation.

"What do you wish to see next?" she asked.

Vincent hopped out first as they reached the end of the ride, offering Andrea his hand. Even with the weight compensators, he noted their carrier rose sharply with their departure from it.

"If it's alright with you... purely for nostalgia's sake, I'd like to go on the Mad Tea Party." He gave a lopsided smile. "After we examine the souvenier shop at the exit of this ride."

Andrea happily took his hand as she exited the carrier. There would be many rides needing perhaps a bit more maintenance after this vacation was over.

"That would be highly acceptable," she replied. She accessed the appropriate file and then beamed. "The Teacups sounds marvelous!"

A stroll across the park later (even though it was highly inefficient in regards to their previous plans), and a moderate wait in line, they were boarding a brightly colored giant teacup. Vincent seated himself opposite Andrea and gripped the central turning wheel.

"Be mindful remember..." He murmured discretely, smiling at her.

Andrea settled herself in and waited for the ride to begin. Once it had, however, and the teacup began to spin, she regarded Vincent with a curious look.

"I am sorry, Vincent, but I fail to see the appeal of this particular ride...'

Vincent cocked an eyebrow, examining her and running things over in his mind. He reached into his pocket for a tool the size of a credit card, tapping it with his fingertips as he slid closer to her. "Give me your finger with the systems access node..." He murmured to her as he gestured with his other hand.

Andrea wondered what conclusion Vincent had come to, since she had been unable to come up with a proper one on her own. Instead, she offers him her right index finger, the skin parting on the last segment of the finger to reveal the circuitry within.

"What do you intend to do?" she asked, though it was also clear she trusted him completely.

"Make you a tiny bit more human, for a few minutes." A mechanical tendril extended from one corner of the card, locking onto Andrea, as Vincent tapped out a command string to lower her equilibrium compensator's effectiveness for a brief period.

He smirked as it completed and withdraw. "Heh."

"More human?" she asked, while she followed the programming string Vincent was working.

And then, suddenly, she understood much better! She laughed, sliding to the side and against Vincent. "Oh... oh my!"

Vincent smiled. "Fascinating what a bit of mortality can do for your enjoyment, isn't it? I came up with a spell a year ago to let myself become inebriated, even on meager Midgardian ales and liquors." He playfully nudged back at her at the hips, applying some torsion to the wheel to spin them further.

Soft...

Vincent grinned and shook out the cobwebs with a laugh. "It is, I suppose." He had to maintain at least a slight veneer of being Much Too Mature for such a kiddy ride.

As the ride concluded, he helped her towards the exit, the program string not quite complete yet. "Do you think you can replicate the imbalance sequence on your own if we try other rides?"

Andrea was still teetering slightly from the ride, happy to hold onto Vincent's hand (and maybe even lean on him for a little bit yet) in order to keep herself from falling over.

"I believe I should be able to replicate the string sequence," she said. "That was an amazing and unique experience. Thank-you, Vincent." She leaned over and kissed him on the cheek.

"Oh you're quite welcome, fair maiden." Vincent smiled and placed his hands on her waist. His fingers tickled the edges of the small of her back as he leaned in to give her a kiss on the lips.

It very briefly flickered over his mind that she was likely the only person he'd addressed with such an appellation that truly deserved it.

Andrea leaned into the kiss, her arms wrapping themselves around Vincent. It was probably a much more enjoyable kiss, now that she had more properly regulated the chemical contents of her mouth as well.

She knew that her programming matrix was complicated, designed to learn and grow in a somewhat similar fashion to a human brain, that she was designed to be as human as possible. But this... this was one of the first times she had ever truly felt normal.

Yes, the absence of the synthetic oil taste was greatly appreciated.

Vincent gave her a soft smile, raising one of his hands to brush some hair from her face. "Or we could simply find something else to do. We've got all week, after all." His fingers drummed gently on her back.

This? Moments like this were making a rather compelling argument for a stable relationship.

Vincent gave her a shifty smile. "Well... we could get an early dinner... relax on the beach.. play some miniature golf... or.." He cleared his throat.

"Simply find somewhere to enjoy each other's company."

That totally still counts as leaving the pacing to her. A little private time with one's 'awesome' girlfriend hardly equates to pressing an issue.

Oh, so she's 'girlfriend' now, not just the girl he's dating...

Oh-ho! Andrea recognizes that particular smile. Her facial recognition software is quite good at interpreting and filing away different facial expressions under different categories of behavior.

As for that particular issue... Well, that is a tricky one. She was designed with full-functionality (particularly after the skin-upgrade), so that was a small worry. In experience, however, she was left high and dry and more than a bit concerned about coming up rather shot in comparison to her more experienced boyfriend.

"Miniature golf sounds like fun," she said. "And perhaps after, well, who is to say?"

Vincent paused, then let out a bit stronger a laugh. "Well... honestly speaking... you're to say." He tightened the hug for a moment, then untangled himself from her before they broached what the venue would consider proper limits for public affection.

He tugged her along gently by the arm. "So shall we use the standard transportation methods of the park, or shall I just send us there myself?" The Contemporary Resort, where they were staying, was merely a short walk from the gates to Magic Kingdom, so transit had yet to be discussed.

Andrea smiled. "I suppose you are correct," she mused.

She let herself by tugged along and considered the question. "I think the standard transportation method would be better. We have managed not to draw undue attention to ourselves, and I do not think we would wish to start now."

Vincent nodded his consent. "Very well then..." He kissed her cheek and hooked her arm into his as they headed for the exit, and the bus pavilion adjacent to it.

"I'm... very glad we're spending the vacation.. well, how we are." He paused. "Together, I mean. I like being around you as your boyfriend." He hastily edited that. "Not that I didn't enjoy being around you when we were simply friends, mind you."

Vincent smirked a bit, raising his chin. "Well, I suppose, if I may be so bold as to presume, it must be very satisfying not to worry about competing for my attention if a call, text, or e-mail comes from any of my vast number of... acquaintances." He grins.

And then immediately feels remorse for driving that point home, looking at her awkwardly.

"That's behind me now of course."

Vincent blinks, about to correct her, when she confesses to the joking. He smirks and nudges his elbow against her gently. "Tease."

He leans back in his seat, as much as there's room for on the bus anyway. "Just in case you do care to know however... I've been getting the usual amount of contacts requesting the pleasure of my company, but I've been turning them down politely."

His pride wouldn't let him go without saying that he was still a hot item apparently.

"So, you've played miniature golf before, yes?" It seemed like her sort of activity, but he did remind himself occasionally that she was chronologically only a few years old.

A frown briefly crosses Andrea's face, before she schools her expressions. Her emotional matrix is such that it is meant to connect to her expressions without necessarily having to be vetted by higher cognitive functions. Annoying, sometimes, but perhaps more human.

A small program (only 3% or so) began to run, calculating the odds of commitment from Vincent, of a successful relationship, of someone else stealing him away....

"I have only played a few times," she said. "But it is mostly geometry. Quite easy, if you are capable of higher-level calculations quickly."

Vincent wasn't exactly innocent in that area either. She hadn't commented on it, but he'd deflected more than one admiring glance from a male passerby with a venomous gaze of his own. It wasn't something he was accustomed to doing with female companions, but it came out before he could stop himself with Andrea.

He smiles at her appraisal. "Of course. Whatever course they have should likely pose only a stimulating level of challenge for individuals such as ourselves." Vincent had a fondness for 'sports' that could be whittled down to calculations. Particularly ones that required little to no interaction with other individuals.

The Winter Summerland course had been, in Andrea's opinion, rather delightful. It had been an extraordinarily close game, with a slight shift in the wind resulting in her losing a stroke on one hole, and unfortunate debris denying Vincent on another, along with a single overshot, leaving her the winner. Nevertheless, their combined near flawless ability had been the source of much amusement for the trio behind them.

She took Vincent's hand as they exited the course. "I believe," she said, "that it is only proper that the victor receive an award..."

Vincent was still grumbling over the elements 'cheating' him of a victory, when Andrea's comments caught his attention. He was about to offer to treat her to ice cream, when a more amusing notion caught his mind.

He gave her a submissive look. "Oh very well... please, be gentle with me." He turned his head to the side with a waifish sigh, trying to hold back his laughter at the expected shock as he undid the remaining button on his polo shirt.

Vincent finds his ability to string words together somewhat impaired, as he had not been honestly expecting that sort of reaction.

"Oh..."

He pauses. "You're certain you don't want me to teleport us?" His gaze is shifty for a moment.
