Game Night.
Kassi had helped Mac decide on a nice shirt, button deep blue, with nice dark jeans.

He showed up a few minutes early at the Baxter Building with their tickets and a small pot of Butterfly Ginger. He told the lady at the desk he was here to pick up Andrea.

"It was! Gods, it was cool." Eventually, the crowd has thinned enough they can get up.

"Very cool," Andrea agreed.

"Would you like to get coffee?" she asked, as they made their way out.

"Coffee sounds good."

Andrea's most preferred spot for coffee was in Greenwich Village, a place called Harry's Hideaway frequented by old Hippies and still frequented by Bernard the Poet. But she had discovered other favorable locally owned coffee shops, and it was to one of these that she took Mac.

Once they had their coffee (and she had also insisted he try the pastries), she found them seats.

"I am glad the weather is still fairly warm," she said. "I love the city in winter, but prefer warmer temperatures overall."

Mac obediently gets both coffee and pastries. "I'm pretty good at any temperature, but I can totally see the benefit in getting the look and feel of the season without freezing your tail off."

Andrea nods and happily sips her coffee, letting out a perfectly modulated sigh of satisfaction.

"You must be glad," she said, "to be back on Earth for the holidays?"

"Definitely. Just in time for Thanksgiving at Grandma Rider's. Debating with dad what the closest form of bird to turkey on the Badoon homeworld is just doesn't count."

She giggled at that. "That sounds wonderful," she says. "My father usually joins me at the Baxter Building, along with the others families. It is quite enjoyable, though Mister Grimm as been known to throw things at the TV if the game is not to his liking."

"Well, it's understandable. I'm going to call Lions over the Brady Bunch and Saints over Cowboys, but football isn't my strongest suit. Your dad into sports?"

"Very much so," Andrea replies. "He follows the Mets in baseball, and the Jets in football."

"Awesome." Pause for eating and drinking purposes. "You're right. The pastries are wonderful."
