One of these days, Scott was really going to have to work on his people skills. Because they were still rather terrible.
Instead, he followed his gut, and pulled the boy--his nephew--into a hug. "Trust me, Cassidy, in this family, that's almost normal. Whatever happens, you have family. Who will accept you, no matter where you come from. Whatever your origins, you are still Cassidy, still a person. And no one can take that away from you."
