It needed to be perfect. He'd original focused on the manipulation of pressure and temperature within a miniscule forcefield, but for the last few layers, he'd brought out the hydrocarbon gas for chemical vapor disposition.

He was still considering what metal to incorporate. Would titanium be inappropriate? Kristoff realized he had a slight bias towards using titanium for a lot of things. It needed more thought, and it wasn't ready for that part, anyway.

Not to mention the fact that the entire project might well be completely pointless.

Very optimistic, Dr. Vernard.

He reaches a safe shutdown point and stores the container away before going back to his room to dress for dinner.

	"Some." Cassie fought the urge to call Anya. Just because the Growing Man showed didn't mean Kang was sending someone else. If it was meant to be a distraction it was a very poor one. 	Kristoff let her go, of course, but followed her toward the restaurant doorway a little ways. If there was another emergency, it'd save time to be closer when it was told. It was not until he looks back, of course, that it was obvious the Growing Man had vanished. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Cassie moved closer, putting her arms around Kristoff and deepening the kiss. For the moment, she let herself forget about Kang, that he likely sent the Growing Man and that he could very well be watching them right now. For that moment she let herself think only of Kristoff. 	Though Kristoff's not thinking of anything but her, either, a small part of him would be almost smug at the thought of Kang's seeing this specifically. They can't possibly handle emergency-related Responsibilities fast enough for his taste. (Reply to this)(Parent)
