At work in the lab and beyond
It needed to be perfect. He'd original focused on the manipulation of pressure and temperature within a miniscule forcefield, but for the last few layers, he'd brought out the hydrocarbon gas for chemical vapor disposition.

He was still considering what metal to incorporate. Would titanium be inappropriate? Kristoff realized he had a slight bias towards using titanium for a lot of things. It needed more thought, and it wasn't ready for that part, anyway.

Not to mention the fact that the entire project might well be completely pointless.

Very optimistic, Dr. Vernard.

He reaches a safe shutdown point and stores the container away before going back to his room to dress for dinner.

	Cassie took Kristoff's arm and leaned closer to him. "Very. I took Scotty to the park and he played nice with the other kids." No conquering of any kind there. "I wish it could be summer all year." His hand stayed on hers.

As best he could, he ran through something annoyingly inelegant in his head, concentrated, and didn't seem to notice anything Extremely Obviously Mystical going on. Good. Seriously, Kristoff sometimes had a bit of a 'love the magicians, hate the magic' viewpoint.

He opened his eyes again, first looked at her, then peered out the window. "Cassandra, do you...?"

	Cassie said nothing. She was perfectly still save for the sudden trembling of her hand. Still without speaking, she stood and ran to the bathroom, all ready pulling out her Fantastic Four uniform. Kristoff followed outside shortly afterward, having activated the remote he kept onhand to bring his armor and weaponry to a nearby roof as soon as possible. Those things just didn't fit under dinner clothing.

None of the devices he was carrying were immediately useful for disrupting kinetic energy signatures. Of course.

There was one thing he had to say, though. "Probably a HYDRA reprogramming again."

Devel, he hoped it was another HYDRA plot. Except for the part of him that didn't, in the hopes of homicide.
