News Broadcast: Attacks on Atlantis and Wakanda
Staggered and vague reports are coming that Dr. Doom has now followed his unprovoked aggression against neighboring Symkaria with attacks against Atlantis and Wakanda. As both of these nations are insular and isolated, these reports have been difficult to confirm, and no public announcements have been made by any of the governments involved. There are even rumors that the respective kings of Atlantis and Wakanda are missing in action.

Even though all the reported victims so far have been isolated or marginalized nations, the U.N. and various governments around the world are reported to be in an uproar trying to decide what action to take.

Kristoff nods to the ladies as they arrive, then, "I appreciate that very much, Valeria. But there are complications you should consider. Going to Doomstadt right now, even in such an obvious emergency, is... not entirely legal, I have to admit." And seventeen was just old enough to be considered legally responsible if someone tried to make an issue of it, and still young enough for Kristoff to be even more worried about her than the others. Not to mention the Master's particular confusing views on her. "If you are absolutely certain, I will admit your help could be valuable, but..." Wretched honest streak.

Franklin also caught wind of what was going on, and everybody knew Kristoff well enough to know what was about to happen. And what was worse is that he arrived to hear Valeria wanting to go to Doomstadt. That did not make for a happy Franklin, given the history Valeria had with Doom.

"No way," he chimed in, completely serious. "Are you crazy right now? Even if you're invisible, he's going to notice you. It's pretty familiar when something invisible starts shoving things to the side, or holding things back, especially when you see it coming along with the Fantastic Four."

Vincent grimaces instantly at Andrea's choice of words, looking to Kristoff, before clearing his throat. "If I may..." He looks around the group.

"Kristoff's presence is vital, and my level of authority is the means to getting him into the country. Andrea and I have a well-documented public relationship, and the prevailing Latverian attitude towards robotics will also allow a certain level of her being overlooked."

He looks at Valeria. "Doom swore that Latveria will ever be your sanctuary. I should be able to insist that be upheld, but.." He glances uneasily at Franklin. "It wasn't extended to anyone else."

He keeps his gaze on Franklin, looking fairly miserable with the whole affair.

I won't mess things up again.

"Vincent, perhaps we should not address that particular point right now," Kristoff says quietly but firmly.

"Your point that we are both Latverian is very valid, Andrea, although there is no circumstances in which my presence would truly be considered 'forgivable,'" Kristoff speaks calmly, quickly, evenly. Forcibly so. "As much as I value your presence in this, Vincent, your personal legal right to be present in the country will not keep him from killing me in front of you if he decides he should and is able to do so." It's not that Kristoff enjoys being disturbing and pessimistic; it's merely that it's true.

	Vincent surveys the group. "I can manage." He responds to Valeria. He then turns a hard gaze to Kristoff. Harder than he'd like perhaps. "He will not harm you." He intones forcefully. There's a spark in his eyes as he speaks, that increasingly familiar mental sensation of swords splintering shields ringing through his mind. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Kristoff meets that hard gaze, and there's love and resolve there, and nothing else. "I doubt he will, phral, but we still must consider all realistic possibilities."

He looks to Val. "Valeria, your willingness to go means more to me than I can say," he says earnestly. "But we have not yet seen how bad this can get. You and Franklin should stay here in case Cassandra and the children need you."

Franklin sighed in relief. He couldn't explain how happy that made him. If Valeria had ended up going, then Franklin was going to go to, whether they wanted him to or not. Doom wasn't allowed to get near Franklin's baby sister.

"That sounds good to me," he said. He went to shake Kristoff's hand and give Andrea a hug. He's still not happy with Vincent, especially with that 'Richardsson' fiasco. But he wanted to give Vincent something to leave with, so he nods at him. He still doesn't want to see Vincent die or get grievously injured, even if he is mad at him.

	Vincent nods to Franklin, understanding the complications of the moment. "We're all coming back, safe and whole." He moves towards Valeria, just a little more than a flinch, before stopping.
