Down Is Up, and Up Is Down
The Stark/Romanov Family Dinner. It was a study and exercise in insanity. They were usually loud, chaotic and entertaining to say the least. Natasha wasn't quite sure if she was up for this one or not. Her back was hurting and her ankles and feet were uncomfortably swollen. The good feeling of the second trimester was gone and the uncomfortable third was here. Though she wouldn't back out or tell Tony she didn't want to do it. They would have dinner and be entertained by the kids. Or so she hoped.

Picking a place was key, but this time she opted for Tony to get a private room at Delmonico's. Steak for the carnivores and private so that if things got loud they wouldn't embarrass themselves. And Natasha felt like dressing up a bit.

She had a new dress from Jan, a new pair of shoes and the earrings Tony gave her when she proposed to him.

When she and Tony were ready, he drove them to the restaurant. They even managed to beat the kids there.

Stevie typically didn't do dressed up. Considering her usual bet with MC was to let her friend take her dress shopping if she lost the bet, well...

On the other hand, non-the-mama was paying for a new wardrobe. So she could at least try to be nice. She'd managed a skirt-blouse combination that looked presentable enough for where the were going. But still fairly tough.

She'd borrowed one of the spare cars from the mansion (casting sad looks at the Impala on her way out).

And... great. She was the first one of the "kids" here.

Eliza is next. She looks tired but has a smile and a twinkle in her eyes. She can't help the good cheer she has going on yet she will admit that college is a tiring experience. It doesn't help that she is still running around in costume whenever she can.

"Hi Mom!"

Then there's a long pause. Then a blink. "We got another Romanov?"

She will laugh when Stevie or Mom corrects her

Apparently, kids of this woman were popular in this neck of the woods. Which was strange to Stevie. She knew who Natasha was, from the files and all, but the so-called Black Widow was little more than a footnote where she was from.

"Definitely not from that side of the family," Stevie assured Eliza.

Stephanie? Okay, what the heck was going on there?

"Ah, good to be here... Tony," she replied.

Misha knew he was running late, but the last Danger Room simulation with the stealth suit had run overtime. With Justin's improvements, he was shaving seconds off his response time and the change in power source had given him extra fire power. It wasn't until the program shut down and he asked for the current time did he realize he had less than ninety minutes to shower, change into something appropriate and get into the city.

He was waved through to the private dining room by a respectful hostess who'd recognized him from previous visits and the media. He carried several paper wrapped flowers bunches he picked up from a corner bodega with him, one each for Mom, Anya and Eliza.

Entering the dining room, he went immediately to Natasha to kiss her cheek. The strange girl present didn't register on his tired brain. "Hi Mom."

	Tasha got up from the table to go find her husband. She could tell there were a lot of things weighing on his mind and this dinner was stressing him out. Not that she blamed him. 	Tony orders steak and lobster. Yes, he knows he needs to work off the ten pounds Tasha put on him...but that will start tomorrow. He needs this tonight...especially the wonderful butter sauce they in this place. "Good to hear, James. Very good." Tony says. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Misha ordered prime rib with a loaded baked potato, an order of pasta and meat sauce, extra bread, and another beer. No greens. He wasn't worried about stunting his growth. 	Stevie fought the urge to roll her eyes at Anya's announcement of her activities. She had her sympathy for the missing boyfriend thing--Stevie herself was missing her frequent friend with benefits something fierce--but... Show-off, she thought. "...When do you sleep?"
