A shopping excursion gone arwy...
Lyta had had a couple of busy couple of days. And the perfect cure to busy days- retail therapy. She'd talked to Irina the other night, and the two of them had made plans to go Paris for some well deserved shopping.

Lyta put her wings in her harness and got dressed, in a red blouse and a pair of jeans. She put on her sunglasses and grabbed her purse, credit cards ready to go. She went to Irina's room and knocked on the door.

Irina created a portal under a doombot, closed it and then did it again as quickly as she could.

Her brace was on, and she couldn't really use her telepathy on a doombot. "One of your knives," Lyta said, "Can I borrow one of your knives?"

Irina drew two knives from her waist and handed them over to Lyta. She formed a portal under one of the costumed types working for Doom and then repeated it.

Lyta threw one of the knives at the doombots head.

While continuing to coordinate the fighting, Kristoff takes note of the women.

"We seem to have unexpected assistance, Beloved." This appeared convenient, but a new element was always a cause for concern. There wasn't much point to a campaign for world order if they allowed too many chaotic elements.

Well, aside from Thrynn, but they knew how to direct things and get out of the way there.

"Indeed we do," Calypso said as she noticed the newcomers. "Let them help if they want to help, but then we should 'talk' to them. Make sure they are not supporting your father."

Irina's portal proves helpful, very helpful. Removing Doombots from her way just clears a path to Doom.

There's a thunderous crash as she impacts his forcefield, both axes blazing. For a moment, it appears as if it might hold, but alas, the immavable object crumbles, and she takes a shot at the despot himself with a white hot hand axe.

"Of course, Beloved," Kristoff says just before Thrynn takes the shield down.

Doom avoids a potentially crippling, if not fatal, blow, but is definitely in motion and off balance when his son finally advances, his lady by his side.

The former monarch of Latveria snarls. "What have you done to my son, you --"

And he's cut off, as Kristoff reaches out and triggers a device which rapidly attaches itself the side of Doom's head, a few spark's flying. "Don't fight it, Sir," he says, smiling calmly. "It's For The Best."

The horror and rage in Doom's eyes fades to something....pained, then fragile, then blank.

Bren glares daggers at the new interlopers. They had a plan of attack, right down to sacrificial Doombots to get the Asgardian into position, and it worked like clockwork until the newcomers turned up. Kristoff gets a glare as well, but that's it before he calls to the others, "Fall back, we've lost."

They'll have to figure out a new plan to rescue Doom later. Their enemies just had too much firepower at their disposal, and somehow neither Doom nor their telepaths had forseen the newcomers.

"Stark, Rogers, feel free to pursue, but once you are certain they are indeed leaving, please return. We have other guests to take into account."
