Evan lets the others keep the women's attention. Instead, from his spot close to the women, he teleports himself and everything nearby - specifically Lyta and Irina, about half an inch to the right.
It doesn't hurt, its not much of an attack, but much like teleporting with Nightcrawler, its really disorienting and tends to throw off people's spatial sense for a few moments. Can't have Irina teleporting, after all.
