Out In The Olde English Countryside
Del sifted through the mound of paperwork on her desk. As the S.H.I.E.L.D. liaison to Scotland Yard it meant she kept her eyes out for stuff that the agency couldn't handle or didn't want to and relaying the stuff that SHIELD was handing off. It also meant a mountain of paperwork that kept her at her desk more than in the field. She missed being out in the field and dealing with bad guys. It was one part of her job that she had loved. When did she get to be a paper pusher?

She found the folder she was looking for and opened it. The reports were ordinary enough, but something else in another file had made her wonder and she had to come back to this one to check. There was unusual activity out near Chearsley. Lorries rolling in and out at odd hours of the night and strangers in the small town speaking a few different languages. There was a report of a weird snake symbol seen briefly under the coat of one of the strangers.

She could kick this to M-I5, but she had a feeling they wouldn't get to it anytime in the current year. Del knew who she could call to do some recon under the radar. She picked up the phone and made arrangements for a meeting.

	Not far away from their location was a small windowless building on the edge of a clearing. It was fairly nondescript, but it had been designed not to attract attention. The true structure lay underground and at one point it had been a World War II ammo dump. There were two cargo trucks parked outside and no sign of any people. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Alice peered through her binoculars. "I don't see anyone out in the open," she said, "We'll move in, but keep your eyes peeled, and be ready to strike at anyone that jumps out at you." 	The alarms went off when Aleks kicked in the door and part of the wall. Hooded agents were frozen for a moment and then they went for the green haired man. There were sounds of soldiers coming from down the hall. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Aleks takes the shots, wading into the agents. Sure, he has a gun, but usually when he draws it in these situations it just gets blown up, and he doesn't need that taken out of his paycheck. Instead, he just picks up the first heavy looking piece of furniture he gets to and tosses it at the biggest knot of agents. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Oddjob stayed close to Xenia and waited for her cue. There were enemy agents in the bunker and it was just a matter of time until they reached this level. Now it was a question if they stayed and fought or grabbed the new weapon and ran. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
