A Potentially Awesome Conversation
Andrea had run through the scenario in her head approximately 6,700 times, using a variety of different variables and probability factors.  Some of them have turned out favorably, quite a few others neutrally, and quite a few had turned out rather poorly (including the one possible scenario she had run where she had walked in on him in the midst of cuddling with those Swedish twins from the magazine cover).

What she had not expected to find was him apparently engaged in some sort of mental exercise.  She almost hated to interrupt him, but now that she was aware of her feelings, she could calculate the odds involved here.  Despite this, her personality matrix was evolved enough to make her hesitant, a little afraid of finding out.

"V... Vincent?"

"So...." He shuffles towards her, somewhat relieved at how smoothly, if tensely, this is proceeding. "Do you wish to... date each other?"

Andrea scooted closer to him as well, taking one of his hands in hers once she was close enough. A systems check reveals she is still quite nervous, but less so than when she began this conversation.

"I would like that very much," she told him.

"Very well then." He gives her hand a squeeze, smiling. "I'll come up with some prospective plans. Would you like to share input on the matter, or would you like to be surprised? I can also change some of the itineraries and dining reservations for our vacation to be more conducive to the two of us and.... well, a greater abundance of time not spent in the presence of my brother and Cassandra."

"That would be fine," she told him, "though we should also do some things with all five of us."

She went on, "There is a Mets game tomorrow and my father has a private box at Citi Field. He will be unable to use it that day. Normally, I would let Mister Grimm and Miss Alicia use it, but... would you like to go?"

Vincent hesitated. A sporting venue?

No, stop that. Behave yourself.

He grinned. "That would be most agreeable, provided you are there."

Of course a sporting venue! One did not live in New York without either being a Mets or Yankees fan. She would, however, have to get Vincent a proper baseball cap.

Andrea smiled quite brightly. "Of course!" she said. "It would not be a date otherwise."

Vincent manages his usual charming smile at that. "Andrea... this may seem crude, and perhaps too forward, but I feel it is something that needs to be asked early out of prudence."

He clears his throat, and turns to face her more directly, still holding her hand. "Are you attracted to me physically as well?"

Andrea tilted her head and gave Vincent a curious look.

"Of course," she replied. "I find your form... very aesthetically pleasing."

She paused, for a moment, and one could practically see the programs running. "And also desirable in other ways."

Vincent smiled back, gaining back some of his usual brand of confidence. "And I you." He squeezed her hand. "I think we have all the common ground we need to at least give things a shot, would you agree?"

He paused. "Not that I want to rush you into anything, but..." He grunted. "Let's be quite honest here; it's me we're talking about. I needed at least a vague notion of possibilities for the future. Fair enough?"

Andrea returned the squeeze. "I would."

She smiled and laughed, a genuine, true and perfectly normal sounding laugh. "I believe that to be very fair."

Her smile was a little more mischievous. "I can keep very accurate date and time information. Do you wish to set a date?"

Vincent suppressed several instinctive responses.

"I believe we shall just let things develop of their own accord." He coughed into his other hand, unable to help but smile in the face of Andrea's mischevious one. "You may feel free to take the initiative any time you wish though."

He pauses, and a dark plotting grin flickers over his face. "So... since Kristoff and Cassandra so blatantly kept our own feelings secret from us... Andrea, what is your opinion of revenge? Nothing harmful, just antagonizing on the order of annoyance or embarassment."

Andrea leaned forward and kissed Vincent gently on the lips. "Like that?"

She smiled. "I believe that could prove most amusing, if done properly."

Vincent was actually stunned. It took him almost a full half second before he could reciprocate, before she pulled back.

He smiled from ear to ear. "Something like that." He leaned in and gave her a slightly more involved kiss.

He smirked confidently when he broke that one off. "I believe there is mischief to manage then."

For someone fairly new to such romantic concepts as kissing, Andrea was a very quick study.

"I believe we do. What do you suggest?"
