A Party to Die At, er...For. (Five hours before the meeting)
Melissa wasn't sure if she could like Boston; the city was nice enough, but it just didn't feel as alive as New York City. She rolled the black hose up her leg, then strapped her combat knife to her thigh. She really didn't like going into a job without her guns on, but she'd at least worked out a way to get those and her hood to her at a moment's notice.

Once she's dressed, she stands up and goes over to the small table where the map of Benedict Kine's estate is laid out, along with a few pieces of Kelly's guns, some markers, and a a white chocolate mocha.

"Okay, babe. So, let's go over this plan one more time..."

"At the risk of being the cynical one here... just what exactly did you do to attract that kind of attention?"

Both of the women were obviously costumed-types of some sort...

"Let's go somewhere else and talk," Iron Girl said. "She mentioned a bomb and I'd rather not stick around when it goes off."

"Yeah, none of those three are demolitions specialists, but doesn't mean they didn't have one here. Odds are they've got the place firebombed to wipe out any trace they were here." Normally she'd have set the bombs, she knows their procedures.
"But they wouldn't have expected that to end so quick... we probably have, say, two-three minutes."

She lifts Melissa easily, glancing at the others. "She no hospitals, she can heal herself given time and rest, long as she lives. And, well, I appreciate the rescue, but you don't need to get involved with this, and them - they're Weapon X, not exactly small time."

Melissa has questions of her own that need answering, such why Kelly knows who the hell those people were. Before tonight, it's never bothered Melissa that she doesn't know a whole lot about her girlfriend's past; Melissa hasn't shared a few salient points of her own, so she's not one to judge.

However, someone had tried to kill Kelly tonight, and Mel had nearly died for it without knowing what she was up against. What had started out a simple hit against a scumbag who richly deserved it had turned into the current clusterfuck they were now in.

"Purse." Melissa rasps, pointing to a spot a few feet away.

"Can't let...stuff go up in...smoke." she whispers, coughing at the last word. Damn she was going to need to put on her super-mage cape to fix this later.

"Let's get back to the Thunderbolts headquarters," Iron Girl said. "Then we can get you guys bandaged up and you can tell us about Weapon X. I'm quite familiar with them. I've met Tessa before. I can carry two. Syd can you carry someone?"

"I could..." Sydney replied. "But I don't know taking them back with us is a good idea."

She didn't trust them. Not yet.

"...Your call, boss."

"We can't leave her here like this," Anya said referring to Melissa. "Especially since there could be a bomb. Let's go." Sometimes doing the right thing could come back to bite you in the ass.

Crisis of very, very small conscience time. They helped save Melissa's life, they're offering them a place to rest and recover, despite not knowing them. They've been told they don't need to get involved, due to Weapon X involvement, they're helping anyway. The arm-cannons with a chick attached are hot...
But giving away one of her fallback spots isn't a good idea. It goes against everything she's had drummed into her brain for acting as a field operative.

Damn, is doing the right thing always this ass-backwards stupid?

"We have a safehouse near here. No need to reveal your secret base. Follow me." she replies, heading towards the garage door.
"And quick, unless you're fireproof."

She makes sure she's the one to snag Melissa's purse on the way out.

"Our headquarters aren't exactly secret," Iron Girl said as she took off and grabbed Kelly and Melissa. "Care for a lift?" she joked.
