Joey was, in a word, floored.
He loves Rose, and he thinks she cares deeply about him, but the two of them are not people who deal with their emotions straight out. He's made a career of lying about who he is and what he's thinking in order to get the job done.
But seeing her do this, knowing it was something she wouldn't normally do, or even do in some of her wildest dreams definitely lets him know where he stands.
He watches, completely taken in, until the song ends.
Then he cheers louder than anyone in the room for his girl.
