What birthday?
The morning of Jack's 21st birthday found him deeply asleep with his head under the pillow. He'd completely forgotten his birthday was coming. So much was happening that it was just another day on the calendar.

"Yeah. They're not pulling any punches," Eliza agrees. "I'm going to stick close to everyone and not take unnecessary risks. Me being with the Avengers can get dangerous enough on it's own."

He was her father of course he would worry. Eliza was a little surprised by Elektra's offer. But she knows Mom would do the same. It's strange how alike yet how very different they are.

She just gives a small smile. "Thank you. I'll keep it in mind but it would feel crazy to leave New York. You don't know how much it means to me that you made the offer."

Feelings so much better now, and awake, Jack returned to the smell of food and coffee in the air. With his senses, they were a double treat.

"Happen to who?" he asked as he raided the coffee pot.

"They were just doing the parent thing, Jack," Eiza says n an upbeat tone. But she is grateful for how they've been. It's a good feeling knowing that she's accepted by everyone. It will make living on this alternate Earth easier. "What do you like in your omelets Jack?"?"

"With so much happening, we reminded Eliza she is welcome in San Francisco with us," Elektra said as she handed her son a cup of coffee for her husband. Matt couldn't be in the same room with coffee without having some.

Jack set the cup down in front of Dad, precisely where he didn't have to hunt for it. Coffee was serious business. "They're not too shabby at the parent thing," he deadpanned, before winking at Eliza. "Everything but the spices and onions for me, thanks."

She quirks her mouth into a grin. They really weren't that shabby at all. She could tell. "Okay. That sounds easy."

She started by getting ready to chop things up. They needed to be chopped to bite sized pieces for the omelets.

Eliza laughs a little. "I don't blame you Jack. I like trying to skip out on festivities too. Of course maybe we have different reasons."

She hates frosting on cakes. That's her excuse and she's sticking to it.

"I'm sure your Mom just likes to be different Jack. Who believes Hollywood anyways?" She is very entertained by this. So far with few oprotunites to think of dating she thinks it's safe to tease her siblings over their choices just a little. "I'm sure there's a girlfriend's guide to the boyfriend's parents. Like the Evil Overlord hand book only with more style."
