"Kind of hard to forget, I just didn't expect to see you here." He hugged Mom and kissed her cheek in return. People said his mother was cold and aloof; he supposed that she had to be in her former life. His mother was reserved, even stern and intense when she was training her students, but always loving. Her number one student did his best to make her proud. "If you'd told me, I would've been awake and had the coffee going."
