"I'm fine," she answered. It wasn't the worst thing her bratty brother has done to her. There was that time he sunk her into the ground up to her neck and left her there for hours. There was the time when he sealed her in a cave in the pitch dark with bats for an hour or so.
It was a small miracle the two of them survived their childhood.
