It isn't a party until someone bleeds.
Portals, teleportation spells and ways are useful but when it comes to getting down to a suspicious club in the darker neighborhoods of Chicago, SUV was more efficient.  It would also trigger fewer magical sensors so if Vitae was tuned to such things, arriving by car would give them a few moments advantage over the shadowy figures suspected to be murderers for Dracula.

Shelly couldn't help but think of Charlie Manson as she turned the last corner and parked her SUV in the darkness down the street from the club.  A maniacal leader, brainwashed followers carrying out horrific deeds for master.

"Okay.  Yeah.  This place gives me the creeps.  Let's go see if we can get in.  The website said it was a private club, right?  Most of those are pretty strict.  There's this place, The Mercury in Seattle...definitely not stranger friendly.  Grab your equipment folks."

Shelly herself took a deep breath and said a few quick prayers to the loa before getting out of the car and heading up to the door.  There was a guard there, pale and creepy looking as all of the rest of the cultists they'd encountered had been but instead of stopping them, the man smiled darkly and opened the door without a word.  In fact no words were exchanged at all, just that creepy smile.

Shelly's blood ran cold.  This...wasn't good.

Cue Next Thing To Move.

Matt doesn't want to hurt Greg, but werewolves are vicious, nasty creatures on their best days. One good shot and Greg will be chewing on his innards.

Matt balls a fist, reaches back, and draws in all the kinetic energy he can in one movement, then aims for Greg's nose.

"FORZARE!" Matt yells, using another white magic spell to push the werewolf far enough away to give himself some breathing room.

In this state the werewolf was invulnerable to damage, but he was still pushed back from the force of the hit. Then came the spell and he went slamming into a far wall.

The werewolf growled viciously and snarled, once again on the attack by bounding across the room.

The building is coming down faster than Matt expected, and Matt knows it's now or never.

He let's Greg bound toward him, reciting the incantation for a teleportation spell he remembers. Luckily, he knows a nice patch of forest Greg can cool out outside of town where he won't hurt anyone.

When Greg gets close enough, Matt teleports them both out of the building.

Greg will end up on the outskirts of town where there are only trees and black magic.

Matt ends up outside the club, having passed out in the street from all of the energy he's expended today.

"No offense taken," Michelle assured Shelly. She wondered what the hell was taking so long in there. She'd seen something--Dracula, she assumed--come out the roof, so why were Matt and Greg still inside?

Greg. She shivered involuntarily. She was grateful for the help he'd given her originally, but after what she'd seen, she wasn't sure she'd ever be able to look on him the same way, let alone trust him. Not when...whatever that had been lay somewhere inside him. She would never feel safe around him, knowing that.

She allowed herself a sigh of relief when Matt reappeared, even passed out. They'd done some good here today, she knew that. But she knew, just as deeply, that this wasn't even close to over.

There were still things that went bump in the night.

And it was time to start bumping back.
