It isn't a party until someone bleeds.
Portals, teleportation spells and ways are useful but when it comes to getting down to a suspicious club in the darker neighborhoods of Chicago, SUV was more efficient. It would also trigger fewer magical sensors so if Vitae was tuned to such things, arriving by car would give them a few moments advantage over the shadowy figures suspected to be murderers for Dracula.

Shelly couldn't help but think of Charlie Manson as she turned the last corner and parked her SUV in the darkness down the street from the club. A maniacal leader, brainwashed followers carrying out horrific deeds for master.

"Okay. Yeah. This place gives me the creeps. Let's go see if we can get in. The website said it was a private club, right? Most of those are pretty strict. There's this place, The Mercury in Seattle...definitely not stranger friendly. Grab your equipment folks."

Shelly herself took a deep breath and said a few quick prayers to the loa before getting out of the car and heading up to the door. There was a guard there, pale and creepy looking as all of the rest of the cultists they'd encountered had been but instead of stopping them, the man smiled darkly and opened the door without a word. In fact no words were exchanged at all, just that creepy smile.

Shelly's blood ran cold. This...wasn't good.

	Michelle had stopped them once to feed on the way there, though not draining enough to be fatal. She hated this, what she had become, what it forced her to do. But she also would not simply allow herself to die either. She suppressed a shudder. Something was not right. And the sensory information provided by all the people was nearly overwhelming. "Everyone, wait. I need about...one minute before we go in. I'm going to solve fifty percent of our problems before start this off." Matt says.

"Oh, I also need about ten feet of space." Matt tells them.

He'll wait for everyone to move, though the wind will pick up just slightly as he speaks.

"Hey, Lynch. Look over there." Matt says.

That's his code phrase for moments when he's about to do something illegal, or close to it, and he doesn't want to do it in front of an officer of the law.

	Matt looks at the assembled vampires, but speaks over his shoulder at Greg and Michelle. "You two go ahead and see if you can find the big bat. I've got this." Matt says. The runes on his staff begin to glow a fiery red as he looks at the vampires before him. "Thrice I'll ask, and then done. Where is Dracula?" Matt asks. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	The vampires screamed for a few brief moments before being incinerated. The others didn't attack right away. They were now hesitant and wary and would only attack when they think they had the upper hand. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Matt returns shortly thereafter, having searched a back office and a few storage rooms for Dracula. Finding nothing, Matt returns to the group, and finds Michelle, and Greg. "Is he in his right mind yet? I really don't want to have to fight someone I'm working with before we get to Dracula. That's the last thing we need." Matt says, keeping his staff at the ready. 	Greg, now back to thinking werewolf mode, followed after Matt. He stopped when he saw the figure in the middle of the room. It was a face his family knew well. Greg had grown up hearing about Dracula. The werewolf snarled and long clawed fingers flexed. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Michelle tensed at the presence of Dracula. The man stunk of death, and his evil was almost a palatable thing. She resisted the primal urge to flash her own fangs in some kind of attempted predatory show of dominance. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
