No More Running
Joey wasn't sure what had just happened. One moment, he was kicking Bigmouth's face in, the next minute, the whole world started shaking, and people were screaming. Buildings fell over and then he was ducking behind a car, trying to keep from getting splattered by falling debris. When the shaking stopped, Joey managed to push himself out of mass of debris and garbage, and stood up to look for his teammates.

Fargo, Georgia was a land of chaos.

The few buildings that hadn't fallen over were still crumbling, and there were people lying on the ground before him. Others civilians walked about, clutching at extremities (some missing) or trying to stop the blood flow of other people's wounds. Joey could feel something warm and wet on the side of his own face, but he tried not to think about that. If he did, it would only slow him down.

"Wild Child! Shatter! Ice Princess! Ruby! Kitten! Someone say somethin'!" Joey called out, hoping that this mission hadn't succeeded at what Krakoa had narrowly failed at.

"YOU DID THIS! YOU MUTANT FREAKS BLEW UP OUR TOWN!" a woman screams, pointing at Joey.

"You gotta be kiddin' me..." he says, calling a flame to his hand.

He did not need this right now.

	Crap. She's going into shock. Cassidy aims the shotgun in a non-populated direction and fires three times, before reloading. The sound of the report filters directly back toward him, and he knows he can't do this long very long before something bad happens. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Rose jerked at the sound of the gunshots.

"Hrd smthng," she tried. Dammit. Tongue was always one of the last things to grow back after damage like this. Her healing factor was very, very good, but it also prioritized.

She looked a bit less like a completely charred corpse now. Patches of shiny pink skin showed through, and tufts of black hair poked through her scalp.

	"Tina? You think she's out there with the gunshots...?" Joeys asks. Rose's nose didn't lie. If Tina was out there, then she was out there. He just hoped they weren't too late to get to her. 	"Tina...it's okay. Don't cry. We'll make sure Justin knows you're okay as soon as we can. Okay?" he asks. "Just stay calm for me. Justin would want you to stay calm. 	Joey nods and follows her, trying not to focus on the fact that she looked like hell. He was just glad none of that damage was permanent. He was also glad he couldn't burn, otherwise, he could have been just as unlucky as Rose. "When we get there, I'll take point." he tells her. He's not letting anything else happen to her. 	Rose moved with increased urgency. She could pull through just about anything, Annie was practically invulnerable, but God only knew how well the others had survived. Melinda'd probably just put the pieces back together, but Chris and Tina? Harder to say... "Thss wha..." she tried to say. As she moved, she left patches of blackened skin behind. 	Joey moves up right behind Rose, seeing the wreckage of the store, and the kid with the shotgun. Then he sees Tina in the wreckage. Of course, Joey adds two and two together to get twenty-two. 	"My friend needs help, and I don't have time for a fight. Either help me, or get out of the way. But I'm not letting either of you hurt us." Cassidy says quietly. He levels the gun on the two newcomers and hopes they're more afraid of being shot than they are eager to fight. Although, the burned chick looks as crazy as Bob always did.
