Svalin shouldn't have been surprised when Mr. Denning and Rory showed up out of the blue because Mr. Denning loved to see his grandson and Rory was usually with him. Svalin offered to watch Solver if Mr. Denning wanted to go out and spend some time with V, but he said he wanted to stay here and spend time with V and Solver. Rory asked Svalin if she wanted to go out to dinner and she accepted.

Now it was time to leave. She was dressed in a blouse, jeans and a pair of boots her wife insisted would make the outfit.
