Baby Steps Towards Making Things Better
He could do this. She was his friend. She'd been his friend for a very long time. There was no reason they couldn't continue to be friends, despite... ~~being dumped~~ breaking up.

He knocked at her door. It wasn't as if he had far to go. She was right next door after all.

As the knock, Andrea put the college brochures she had been looking at (yes, she could have accessed them via the internet and done several simultaneously, but she sometimes preferred the immediacy of physical objects) away, before heading to the door.

"Hello, Vincent," she said, when she opened it. She was... not yet fully resolved with how she currently felt about Vincent. They were no longer lovers, that trust had been shattered, but she still believed that there remained a fundamentally decent person there, one who had been her friend for much longer than her boyfriend.

"How are you today?"

	"Hello, Andrea." ~~This is too soon.~~ It hurts seeing her and not feeling like he has the right to hug her. "There's a lot on my mind." He replies quietly, shrugging. Various programs designed to simulate human thought patterns, along with those geared towards more thoughtful analysis went into action, trying to figure out if there was any deeper or ulterior motive to Vincent's words. Biometrics suggested there were not, and the other programs generally seemed to agree with it.

"I would like that," she said. All other considerations aside, she had been worried about him.

And it would get her out of the building for a time. It was nearing the time of day where Howard Wollowitz called, if he was so inclined to do so for that day. She preferred to avoid having to speak to him.

Vincent nods, mildly relieved. "Excellent." He smiles, as he brings his palms together with a slight flourish.

A rune flashes faintly in the air, and he brings his hands apart, producing two putters as if from nowhere. Like any sport with geometry at its core that he'd ever had a passing interest in, Vincent had his own equipment. He hands one over to Andrea.

Is showing off for her still that important?

"Shall we fly? I could use some air."

"I know, and I assure you I'm not about to start grovelling for you to take me back, but I wanted to make sure I apologized plainly. You deserve that." He nods his head to the left as they head for the indoor course he'd selected.

"I'm having therapy with Doctor Samson again. I've... reached a point recently where I believe I'm becoming a threat to those around me, if not just my relationships with them."
