Throneworld--Threatened!
The small ship dropped out of hyperspace, but had it arrived too late? The usual space traffic that surrounded the Shi'ar Throneworld of Chandrilar was light, and what few ships remained were either warships, now actively engaged in battle, or trying to flee the immediate area.

What dominated their field of vision was a ship who's geometry was utterly alien, almost seeming to not exist in quite the same space as everything else. Taa II, the worldship of Galactus, Devourer of Worlds. Galactus himself, for the moment, was nowhere in sight, but as close to the planet as the ship had come, it would not be long. Unless the X-Men could do something, the Shi'ar Empire's days were likely numbered.

	Rachel swooped in low, the Phoenix Effect starting to manifest more fully out of the flames around her, a bird head visible in the corona. She put both hands forward, unleashing powerful telekinetic blasts. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The Herald tried to deflect the oncoming attack, hardening the minuscule bits of matter floating through space with his density power into shields. They held for a moment, but the combined attack broke through them, slamming hard into him, and sending him flying. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Lucas can't do much here except scout ahead. He hovers in space near the battle in astral form, unobserved by anyone save the psychic Phoenix. He gives what input he can, trusting others to guard his body while he looks for any useful information he can pass on to those fighting the herald. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Nebular had not expected the intruders--Earthmen from the look of them--to be able to mount so formidable a defense. More prepared, he wards off the first round of Misha's blasts with shields, but still becomes pushed back under the attack. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The Heralds of Galactus are some of the most powerful beings in the universe, but ever since the rebellion of the Silver Surfer, none have been as powerful as they once were. They can be beaten. They can be overcome.

And under the dual assault of the latest in Stark-wear and the cosmic power of even a semi-tapped Phoeniex, Nebular is beaten, lapsed into unconsciousness.

	Misha watched the Herald for a minute to make sure he wasn't playing at unconsciousness. He only concentrated on one threat at a time. Let's hope Starbridge is right and we can really make a difference between life and death. At least this time it's on the planet. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The psychic communications weren't intended for him, but he can feel that telepathy is going on, anyway. His astral form follows the others, diving towards the planet in the Phoenix's wake. (Reply to this)(Parent)
