Pre-school Reunions. (For Vincent)
"And so that seems to be all in that regard, " Moira explained to the telephone as she stood on a sidewalk just outside the Greenwich Village area, the long leather jacket a little odd for summer, but comfortable enough. "Dr. Strange said he was unfortunately quite sure -- Aye, we can get back to Westchester; we are walking now to the transportation that was arranged, taking a little time to look around. We will be fine, Granny." Then, after listening for another moment, Moira sighed. "Aye, it was worth a try." Then she nodded, even though Mummy and Granny had explained that telephones could not show that. "We love you, too, Granny." And then one hand closed the phone and put it away. The other hand held the lead that was attached to a harness around her sister, because of some silly New York law and the need to not panic people.
Danielle was sniffing the air a little at this point with a thoughtful look.

	And the wolf stalked right in front of the young man -- Moira's height, in this form. Interesting, they'd always considered Moira's human form 'short', though not quite as short as Mummy's -- and stood there with a Very expectant look. Behind her, Moira grinned. "...Vincent?" Vincent stopped short as a do- wolf, walked right in front of him, then stood it's ground. He cocked an eyebrow, then his eyes widened, his mouth opening as he saw the girl accompanying it. "You...

YOU!" He exclaimed as he dropped to one knee to hug the wolf around the neck, and the girl around the waist, head alternating between the scruff of the wolf's neck and the girl's stomach. Particularly for anyone who'd know him, it was quite an enthusiastic sight to see.

	"It's..." Vincent tried to regain his composure, standing up and brushing the wolf hair from his clothes. "It's been far too long." He rubbed his eyes for no particular reason whatsoever, along with letting out a cough. "You both still smell like venison and Volstagg's spilled mead." He cracked a playful smile. "Nor I you." Vincent took a step back to take in the years' toll. "You've both grown so much.." He looked to Danielle, tilting his head now at her canine form, but not thinking too much of it. "You're massive... and you.."

He looked back to Moira. "And you have hips, and..... things..." He trailed off awkwardly. It was most disconcerting to see the girls you spent your five year old days running through the forest with suddenly very... not five.

Especially for Vincent, being Vincent.

	"It's our first time in the city, actually. We went to consult Dr. Strange. We've been at Mummy's old school in Westchester for two weeks and a few weeks in Scotland before that. 	Moira's face falls just a little, and she looks down to her sister. Despite her uncommunicative form, Danielle's discomfort manages to show somehow. "For Danielle. She's..." Moira's voice drops slightly. "She's stuck. He can't help, though. No one at home could either. Granny's working on it." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Vincent's face flushes in concern, and he nearly offers his aid with a spell to-- No. No. Doctor Strange couldn't handle it. He leaves it alone, for now. "I'm sure Granny and Doctor McCoy will appreciate talking with them if the necessity arises. But it may well be a Mutant Thing. Do you know them, then?"

Moira shakes her head. "We were going to acquire transportation back to Westchester. Most around here, it seems, will not accomodate --" Moira sneers a little. "A 'dog'."

Danielle might almost seem to be shrugging.

Vincent puffed up his chest, smiled, and all but tossed his hair. "I have studied Hank Pym's work and discussed matters with him at length, and.." He chuckled. "'Do I know Reed Richards?'"

He smirked. "Dear ladies, you're talking to one of the members of the Fantastic Four. Would you like him to escort you back to his home for dinner? I could fly or teleport you home afterwards."

After telling school personnel she'd be having dinner at the Fantastic Four's home -- and assuring them that there was no sign of 'mandatory misunderstanding conflict' -- Moira managed to find the button for turning it off and smiled. "Probably. We're normally only on Midgard in December, and then it's not New York."

Danielle appreciates the scritchings, then stands again as Moira says "Shall we?"

	Vincent definitely needed to do something about the publicity level of the team. He nods as Moira finishes her call, smiling to them both. "Indeed." He takes Danielle's leash, giving her a sympathetic gaze, and offers Moira his other hand. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Vincent smirks as they walk along. "Well, first of all, there's myself. An exemplary mage, and brilliant scientist. There's my older brother, Kristoff Vernard, who's not exactly a dullard himself; he uses special armor in combat. His lover, Cassandra Lang, can change her size and has a quick mind as well. Then there's Andrea." His face seems to lighten up a bit.

"She's an android, built by another one, but you'd never know it just meeting her. She's amazingly powerful, can copy abilities, and she's very smart as well.. I think you'd both like her very much."

"It is good you got to pursue sorcery further. We know you wanted to." Moira smiles. "A brother? As i have said before, one of the most wonderful irritations in the nine worlds." Danielle looks up at her, and Moira smiles broader. "Although of course we only know this about younger brothers."

Moira studies his face a little as they walk along. "She sounds wonderful. A very clever group on the whole, obviously"

	Vincent seems to hesitate momentarily. "I've had... very powerful teachers." He turns the topic back to the others at the Baxter Building. "They're very much my family now. A smile. Distant and brief though the time was, Moira remembers Vincent as being somewhat of an exaggerator. "Protecting is part of what family is for," She agrees. "I never understood, when we visited Granny when I was was young, the television performances where the children would be told no monsters would be coming for them." She smiles. "We always knew the monsters would come sometime, when we were small. We just knew Da and the others would already be there."
