Pre-school Reunions. (For Vincent)
"And so that seems to be all in that regard, " Moira explained to the telephone as she stood on a sidewalk just outside the Greenwich Village area, the long leather jacket a little odd for summer, but comfortable enough. "Dr. Strange said he was unfortunately quite sure -- Aye, we can get back to Westchester; we are walking now to the transportation that was arranged, taking a little time to look around. We will be fine, Granny." Then, after listening for another moment, Moira sighed. "Aye, it was worth a try." Then she nodded, even though Mummy and Granny had explained that telephones could not show that. "We love you, too, Granny." And then one hand closed the phone and put it away. The other hand held the lead that was attached to a harness around her sister, because of some silly New York law and the need to not panic people.
Danielle was sniffing the air a little at this point with a thoughtful look.

Vincent sat down on the couch next to Andrea, beckoning the other girls as well. "I've always favored Pigs in Space myself." He smirked sheepishly. Even Kristoff didn't know that, but these were his friends, and Andrea had probably figured it from when they'd watched the program previously. What was there to keep from them?

Andrea resumed play, smiling (and feeling rather pleased in general when Vincent sat down next to her).

"Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker are most enjoyable," she agreed. "But I am most fond of Kermit."

She thought, then added, "And also Animal."

Moira chuckles. "The captain of Pigs and Space was a terrible Alpha."

Moira and Danielle join them on the couch and look at each other, communicating, for just a little while -- with just occasional polite side-glances at the others.
Then. "Danielle says Kermit and Animal are both amusing when they flail. I always felt sorry for Kermit. He has a lot of responsibility, and so much goes wrong."

Andrea found it quite odd that Moria seemed to be able to speak to the dog--which on further analysis might actually have been a wolf--but only in the smallest category of odd, compared to her everyday life. (Not the least of which was that she herself was an artificial lifeform)

"If Kermit were not there, I suspect it would eventually end with the theater on fire," she opined.

"Which is no doubt all that could get the little elders in the balcony out of the theater," Moira says with a chuckle.

And then her eyes light on a framed photo in the corner of the room. Vincent, Andrea, and two somewhat older figures standing beside-and-atop a huge, bizarre and fortunately unconscious monster in the middle of Union Square.
"Is that your brother?" She asks, indicating. Moira grins and adds, just slightly softly, "You did not tell us he was that handsome."

Vincent smirked. "You ladies should all know, in case you didn't already, that a replica of the Muppet Theatre exists at Disney World."

His eyes turned to the photo, arching an eyebrow at Moira's response, then nodding. "Well of course. He's my brother. I'm much more attractive though."

"There is?" Andrea asked, before grabbing Vincent's arm. "We should go there!"

She quickly added, "The four of us. On vacation. Yes." Only belatedly did she remember to release his arm.

"I don't doubt your ability to -- how does Granny say it -- turn heads, Vincent."

But then the arm grabbing is observed

"That's very interesting. The four of you really should. Perhaps eventually, we will be able to as well."

Vincent immediately feels ten feet tall, not thinking anything out of place about that enthusiastic grab. (Despite the fact that it would have crushed or at least fractured a mortal's arm bone.) "That sounds like a wonderful plan, Andrea. We can suggest that to my brother and Cassandra over breakfast, if they don't join us for dinner." He gave her a beaming smile and a confident wink.

He looked to the twins. "Yes... it's unfortunate your.. predicament would prevent it now." He gives them a sympathetic look.

Odd. More erratic behavior patterns. She was usually much more precise in her language choice than that, and the physical contact...

She smiled, however, when he agreed. "It has been much too long since we have had a proper vacation."

Vincent raised an eyebrow. "You're making the face you used to make when you got the bigger piece of venison. What are you up to?"

He looks back to Andrea. "Indeed. I think it was Palm Beach, and the Atlantean insurgents? Or was that the time before? I know there was the time with Vegas and the Frightfuls..."

Moira and Danielle look at each other, then back to the others. "We don't think Mummy ever mentioned a Mole Man."

"He's one of 'our' villains." Vincent shrugs, still eyeing Moira. "So he usually either comes after us, or it falls to us to go after him when he causes trouble. He commands giant monsters."

Back to Andrea. "Yes... it has been a while since we had an uninterrupted vacation. I don't believe you in particular have ever had the luxury." He looks at her sympathetically, patting her hand.

Vincent caught that exchange, but shrugged it off. He'd interrogate them later if need be. "I'm sure you do."

"Andrea, have you heard from my brother or Cassandra today? I want to get dinner plans set as soon as possible."

Andrea has paused the DVD so that Vincent could make his phone call.

It was a good thing, she reflected, that Moira was simply a childhood friend of Vincent's. She had been monitoring their interactions carefully and deduced, through body language analysis and other passive sensor readings, that it was only that.

...Why was she wasting her processing power that way?
