All-New, All-Different X-Force! See you on the island...
By startling coincidence (yeah, right), all three squads had ended up at the cave at nearly the same time. "Funny meeting you here," Rose muttered.

This was... wrong. Extremely wrong. An island out to get them? Missing X-Men? A brand-new team being put together to go find them? It all added up to one horrible, horrible possibility. She'd been told the story often enough growing up, even used the place in question as a staging ground for Danger Room scenarios.

She looked over to Chris and Anastasia, eventually taking in Christina, Melinda, and Joey as well. She was worried about him. The others had survived mostly unscathed and she was healing, but he'd taken some hard knocks. She'd have to keep an eye on him. Dammit. How she felt about him... major distraction right now. And yet, she wouldn't trade him for all the edge it might offer.

"Okay, hands up, this remind anybody of anything from X-Men History 101?"

	Super-charged along with Cait by the psionic energy, Rachel put everything she had into lifting. Psionic flames, dancing into a bird shape, flared around her, even past the glowing emblem around her eye. "Cait! Now! Lift!" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	There was a surge of power and she reveled in the feeling for a moment. This much power she could almost control the tides. Cait closed her eyes and willed all the water she could control to lift the island up. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Oh, God! The power was incredible. The Phoenix effect was fully formed about Rachel now, adding considerable might to what was already there, sending the island high into the sky. The X-Men, along with the Blackbird, were wrapped in a protective telekinetic field, while the island itself shot into space like a missile. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Her power dwindling now that the island was gone and the Phoenix again subsided, Rachel had barely enough strength to set the Blackbird (the one the second group had come in, the other was gone, destroyed)down into the water, automatic devices allowing it to float. She had just enough strength to put the X-Men down on top of it before collapsing. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Joey manages to catch Rachel as she collapses.

"Just my luck; fallin' women everywhere and me with only two arms." he quips. He still feels like crap himself, but he makes sure Rachel makes it down to the floor, as he doesn't want to see her hurt.

He knows that she and Rose don't get along, but he doesn't think his girlfriend wants her sister to get hurt anymore than Rachel would want to see her get hurt.

The force of effort in channeling everyone's will was great and somehow during the process she found herself pushing her telepathic skill beyond previous limits. Her head began to scream at her but she had pushed beyond and her nose started to bleed but she had pushed beyond. By the time it was "over", Christina was disoriented and weak, her body half diamond, half human, all pushed to the limit.

	Chris, sensing the conflict has passed, manages to reign her abilities in. The mental change is coming faster now, since what happened with Apocalypse. She's still in control though, she's still in contro-- oh god that hurts for a human. She clutches the wound on her torso as she manages a weak grin at the others. "So... we're not dead." The giant floating head of Professor X appeared in the minds of the X-Men still conscious enough to receive it. His relief was palatable.

Part of his energy is devoted to trying to restore a sense of calm to Christina.

You have done well, my X-Men, all of you. I am only sorry that it was I who put you in this position in the first place. Krakoa dominated my mind, so that I would not draw the proper connections and realize what had happened.

When you return, you all deserve some much needed rest. But then, we will have much to discuss...
