By startling coincidence (yeah, right), all three squads had ended up at the cave at nearly the same time. "Funny meeting you here," Rose muttered.

This was... wrong. Extremely wrong. An island out to get them? Missing X-Men? A brand-new team being put together to go find them? It all added up to one horrible, horrible possibility. She'd been told the story often enough growing up, even used the place in question as a staging ground for Danger Room scenarios.

She looked over to Chris and Anastasia, eventually taking in Christina, Melinda, and Joey as well. She was worried about him. The others had survived mostly unscathed and she was healing, but he'd taken some hard knocks. She'd have to keep an eye on him. Dammit. How she felt about him... major distraction right now. And yet, she wouldn't trade him for all the edge it might offer.

"Okay, hands up, this remind anybody of anything from X-Men History 101?"

The X-Men made their way out of the cave just in time, barely avoiding what seemed like the entire mountain coming down on itself. For a moment, it looked like the would have time to breathe.

But the ground reshaped itself, growing and building into a monstrous figure easily as tall as a building. Krakoa, the Island that Walked Like a Man, walked once more. He towered over the X-Men, looking down upon them with malice filled eyes.

"Come then! Challenge me as the X-Men did once before! Challenge Krakoa... and know death!"

He let out an unearthly roar, a sound like every creature, everything on the island screaming at once.

"You are really giving me a headache, Freakshow."

Christina had only very nearly been crushed escaping from the cave, the adrenaline rush of it still coursing through the blood in her veins just beneath the impenetrable diamond surface of her skin. Of course, no emotion was fully accurate in this state so what was the fight or flight reflex translated to full-on pissed off annoyance.

She lunged at the beast of an island.

	This, even for Rose's time as an X-Men, was getting a bit out of her league. Ninjas? Demons? Brotherhood of Evil Mutants? Those were fine. Magneto? Apocalypse? Sinister? Marauders? Fine. 	Krakoa rocked back slightly under the virtual mountain of water Cait unleashed upon her, losing pieces of his body to both that and Rachel's TK blasts, while Christina and Rose were wearing down other pieces of his body. 	Not having much energy to work with in him right now Aaron pulls some electricity from the air and to his left hand raised towards the sky while it is much hard for him to work with he could still do some simple stuff with it. Half a world away, Professor Xaiver had finally come too, had finally slipped free from the bonds of servitude the Living Island had placed upon him. Once again, he had sent X-Men into that foul beast's clutches.

He had to make this right.

His mind reached out, touching each of theirs, and instantly assessing the situation.

Hear me, my X-Men! I know what you must do to defeat this creature! But it will take all of you, working together...

	"Make with the plan, Professor! We're working on a schedule right now!" Joey yells out, tightly focusing his fire blasts on the creatures arms to keep it from swinging on Rose or the others. An entire childhood of rage was unleashed on the island monster, punching, tearing, even gnashing at it with diamond teeth, teeth that were as sharp as razors. Whatever the Professor's plan was, she'd abide but until then she was going to kick this thing's monkey ass.

	Some days it just really sucked to be a mutant without offensive capabilities. What little control she had over her telepathy was useless against this monster and her illusions wouldn't fool it. All Summer could do was dodge the blasts and try to stay out of the way of the fighters who were actually hurting it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Rachel and Cait, the Professor's floating psychic head intoned, You two possess the power to again send this island hurtling through the void into space. But your strength alone will not be enough. You will need more.

Christina, Summer, I will need your telepathic abilities. Gather the willpower of the others and direct it through Rose. Her psibeams should enable her to channel it directly into Rachel and Cait. You will need to make your escape quickly, once the process is begun...

Of course Baldy would make an impossible request. She was in diamond form. Telepathy didn't work in diamond form and what part of she can't control the form did people not seem to understand? Growling just a little she stepped back from her assault on the island monster and in doing so something weird happened.

Her diamond form fled, almost melting from her body.

"Well. That was unexpected." She didn't have time to ruminate on what had just happened, though. She had orders. So she did just as she was told and started sucking (more or less) everyone else's willpower and sent it straight over to Rose.

Boy, he sure wasn't asking much. Summer fell back as far from the fight as she could get, close in proximity to Christina. Thank goodness for the extra sessions she'd been taking with the Professor. She might actually have a shot at making this work.

Concentrating hard, she focused on directing the strength of the others into Rose. Hopefully, they all lived long enough for this to work.

	Despite the sizzling hole in her side, Chris is attacking at full intensity. She doesn't have any of the 'fancy' powers, so she'll settle for letting her animal side take over and just hurting the thing as much as it can feel. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	With the willpower of the others being directed through her, Rose felt like she was about to burst. Her psibeams didn't usually work this way, but with this much raw psionic power backing her up, they'd amp up the flow of it, give Rachel and Cait even more power than before.
