By startling coincidence (yeah, right), all three squads had ended up at the cave at nearly the same time. "Funny meeting you here," Rose muttered.

This was... wrong. Extremely wrong. An island out to get them? Missing X-Men? A brand-new team being put together to go find them? It all added up to one horrible, horrible possibility. She'd been told the story often enough growing up, even used the place in question as a staging ground for Danger Room scenarios.

She looked over to Chris and Anastasia, eventually taking in Christina, Melinda, and Joey as well. She was worried about him. The others had survived mostly unscathed and she was healing, but he'd taken some hard knocks. She'd have to keep an eye on him. Dammit. How she felt about him... major distraction right now. And yet, she wouldn't trade him for all the edge it might offer.

"Okay, hands up, this remind anybody of anything from X-Men History 101?"

	Cait struggled but to no avail. She wanted to get out of here, but she didn't have the strength. The water in the vines was close, but Cait just didn't have the strength to manipulate it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	In her entire lifespan, Summer had never had any luck with plants. There was a skeletal husk of a Bonsai tree for every state she'd ever visited. Clearly, this was some kind of chlorophyllic retribution. She struggled against the vines, but they were too strong. Rachel's head swam. She'd never felt so drained in her life. She couldn't access her telekinetic or telepathic powers and even her connection to the Phoenix (mercifully quiet since the Apocalypse battle) was quiet.

It had all happened so fast, she still wasn't sure what to make of it. One minute, they'd landed on the island and disembarked, the next the Blackbird had just been gone, and then...

Then, she realized, she couldn't remember.

	"It's times like this I wish we had weapons other than ourselves." Her diamond form had faded by now, the walk to this location given enough time for it to fade. 	The team hurried quickly down the cave, and eventually made to a large, open area, filled with vines and other bits of fungal and plant material. Wrapped in vines, their captured friends hung against the wall, like so many slabs of meat. "Get them down." (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Staying awake had taken just about everything Summer had. She was certainly not one of the most powerful mutants in the world or even in the cave at the moment. When she heard voices through the fog that was wrapping itself around her brain, her eyes opened from their lethargic half mast to almost fully alert. Was it help? Or something worse than the vines? 	Presences tugged very faintly at Rachel's telepathic senses, even as she felt something cut its way through the vines around her. Her forced her eyes open with limited success, staring into the face of her Grey-side sister. She looked around, recognizing something from countless retellings. "You... idiots," she managed. 	This, even for Rose's time as an X-Men, was getting a bit out of her league. Ninjas? Demons? Brotherhood of Evil Mutants? Those were fine. Magneto? Apocalypse? Sinister? Marauders? Fine. 	Krakoa rocked back slightly under the virtual mountain of water Cait unleashed upon her, losing pieces of his body to both that and Rachel's TK blasts, while Christina and Rose were wearing down other pieces of his body.
