Father-Daughter Time
Avery followed the directions from his GPS to the mansion, not sure what he was expecting. The place was huge, he knew, but what he could see from the gate was....epic. There really wasn't another world for it.

He'd called ahead to let Sydney and Zoey know he'd be coming, but he still wasn't sure what to expect when he pulled up to the front gate. He didn't see any dragons or, heavens forbid, any Mongolian Death Worms, but one never knew with these types, did they?

He just hoped Zoey was still interested in being around him even after all the awesome she was currently surrounded with.

	"Well, we won't let that happen next time." Avery says. He smiles as she gets excited about the movie. "How is that Ohu can find these seemingly mythological creatures? Dragons don't really exist, either, last time I checked." Avery says. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Well, they've got lots of stores that sell lightsabers like the ones in the movies. He could get one of those if he wanted." Avery says. Avery still hasn't picked up on the fact that Ohu wants a real lightsaber, though he should have by now. "Besides, a lightsaber is safer than a Mongolian Death Worm or a dragon." he says. 	Avery winces just a little as he watches Zoey wipe her hands on her pants. "Sweetie, that's not quite what I had in mind. Come on over here." he says, taking up a few napkins. He makes sure her hands are fully clean, then gets rid of the napkins. "All right, I'll go now, and you wait right here." he says. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The way she crosses her arms over her chest reminds him of his sister Aurora for a moment; Avery chuckles a little and smiles at Zoey.

He then goes to the restroom and washes his hands. To his consternation, there are only two paper towels left in the bathroom. Zoey might have been on to something. He takes them and dries off his hands, throwing them away.

When he comes out, he checks to see that Zoey is still in place, then pays for their food. Upon completion, Avery goes back to Zoey.

"All right. Time for the movie. Let's go." he says.

	Avery nods, taking Zoey's smaller hand. "Awesome ideas come from Awesome Zoey." Avery smiles, and leads his little girl out of the pizza parlor. They get back to the car, and he helps her get in and buckled up before he gets in the car and buckles himself in. They leave the pizza parlor and make their way to the theater. Zoey looked out the window on the ride over. She loved looking at all the different buildings and reading the signs. The trip didn't take long and Zoey waited patiently for Avery to get out and then open her door and unbuckle her seatbelt. She once again took his hand while they were in the parking lot.

"Is this going to be in 3D?" she asked as she walked along side of him.

"I thought you might ask that, and yes, I got us the 3D tickets. I figured you'd want to see the dragon up-close." he smiles.

"Do you want popcorn when we get inside?"

He nods. "You certainly can. And will you let me know when Ohu decides to show you that dragon? I'd like to go over some dragon ground rules with him."

They move up quickly in the line and Avery hands over the tickets, and they get their 3D glasses. He walks Zoey to the concession counter, and gets a medium bag of popcorn, two bottled waters, and a box of Dots.

He has to indulge himself this one time.

"Looks like we're geared up, Captain Zoey the Awesome! What are your orders?" he asks.
