Father-Daughter Time
Avery followed the directions from his GPS to the mansion, not sure what he was expecting. The place was huge, he knew, but what he could see from the gate was....epic. There really wasn't another world for it.

He'd called ahead to let Sydney and Zoey know he'd be coming, but he still wasn't sure what to expect when he pulled up to the front gate. He didn't see any dragons or, heavens forbid, any Mongolian Death Worms, but one never knew with these types, did they?

He just hoped Zoey was still interested in being around him even after all the awesome she was currently surrounded with.

"It ist a good day. I hath found some new things to take up mine time between battles nd training," Aridis says trying not to linger on that for long.

"You do not need to bow to me Avery. I have no desire to be treated as if I am better than anyone else," she says after a moment coming back to the present so to speak.

Sydney gets a wide smile. "She ist a most crafty chef. I shall give her my thanks."

	Avery wonders if he's accidentally offended the woman by offering a hand shake. He's only met two of the many people who live here. "Yes, I'm getting to know everyone in Zoey's life, and it's been enlightening so far." he says neutrally. "Did you come looking for pie, too? I hear Ohu's not around." he says, trying a joke. 	Avery felt bad, suddenly. He'd said the words and Ohu showed up out of the ether. Now Aridis and the rest of the house wouldn't get any pie. "You're the famous Ohu, then?" 	"I'm Avery Crittenden. I'm Zoey's dad." Avery says, a note of pride in his voice. "Zoey's told me a lot about you, Ohu...and the Mongolian Death Worms. Those are just stories you tell little kids to annoy their mothers, right?" he asks. Avery sees Dawn and offers a handshake to her as well. "Hi, I'm Avery. Nice to meet you." he says. Avery nodded at Ohu. "Yes, I am proud of her, more and more every day. She's funny, bright, and well-spoken for her age.

She's, in a word, amazing." Avery says.

He'd like to have a piece of pie, but he decides against it, as he doesn't want to spoil dinner with Zoey.

"I'll pass, thank you. I told Zoey we were going to Mama's Pizzeria before the movie and she liked the idea. Don't want to spoil us." he says.
