Father-Daughter Time
Avery followed the directions from his GPS to the mansion, not sure what he was expecting. The place was huge, he knew, but what he could see from the gate was....epic. There really wasn't another world for it.

He'd called ahead to let Sydney and Zoey know he'd be coming, but he still wasn't sure what to expect when he pulled up to the front gate. He didn't see any dragons or, heavens forbid, any Mongolian Death Worms, but one never knew with these types, did they?

He just hoped Zoey was still interested in being around him even after all the awesome she was currently surrounded with.

	"He won't bite." To demonstrate Zoey wrapped her arms around the tiger's neck and scratched behind his ears. The tiger had a look of pure pleasure on his face. "Take me to your leader." he says, speaking in alien monotone for a moment as he follows Zoey. He still can't get over the tiger not trying to eat the girl, but maybe this Halbjorn guy knows how to train a tiger.

I'll make sure to call him when I need my tiger trained. Avery thinks.

Avery sees Sydney and offers her a smile. "Hello. So...are you sure there are no Mongolian Death Worms around? We've got tigers already, and there's at least one flying horse on the premises, right?" he asks.

	He smiles, watching Zoey run out of the room, then looks back to Sydney. "Okay, so Zoey and I are going to have lunch, then see 'How to Train Your Dragon'.If there's time, I may take her to the park, and then bring you home an exhausted six-year old." he says. 	Around that time Aridis pokes her head in. "Sydney. Doth thou know where there ist some more of that pie Lady Sarah baked earlier today?" Aridis is in the mood for a snack. 	Avery is about to dispute Sydney's assertion of Zoey's endurance when the new face wanders in. He offers the woman a smile, but notices her speech pattern immediately. 	"Well met, milady." Avery says, bowing slightly. Why did I just do that? He stands up and offers Aridis a bigger smile. "So, you're a friend of Sydney and Zoey? That's excellent. How is your night going, aside from Ohu eating all the pie?" Avery got the feeling Ohu ate the last of a lot of things from Sydney's tone. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"You are in luck though. Sarah made another pie and hid it from Ohu." Syd opened a cabinet and pulled out a wrapped pie. The hiding spot where they hid stuff from Ohu changed about three or four times a day. It was the only way they managed to get baked goodies after Ohu. She placed the pie on the counter. "Enjoy." "It ist a good day. I hath found some new things to take up mine time between battles nd training," Aridis says trying not to linger on that for long.

"You do not need to bow to me Avery. I have no desire to be treated as if I am better than anyone else," she says after a moment coming back to the present so to speak.

Sydney gets a wide smile. "She ist a most crafty chef. I shall give her my thanks."

	Avery wonders if he's accidentally offended the woman by offering a hand shake. He's only met two of the many people who live here. "Yes, I'm getting to know everyone in Zoey's life, and it's been enlightening so far." he says neutrally. "Did you come looking for pie, too? I hear Ohu's not around." he says, trying a joke. 	Avery felt bad, suddenly. He'd said the words and Ohu showed up out of the ether. Now Aridis and the rest of the house wouldn't get any pie. "You're the famous Ohu, then?"
