"Rene. Listen. To. Me." Cassidy says, enunciating each word.
"This collar will explode if I tamper with it, or if I take any action Doctor Milbury doesn't approve of. If we both ran now, I would die, and maybe you from proximity of the explosion. We both lose." he says.
"I'm going to get you released, then you're going to go and get us help from somewhere. You come back with help, and maybe, just maybe, I'll still be alive when you get back. The Doctor needs me for something, or he'd have killed me awhile ago. I'm not indispensable, but I'm worth the effort.
Otherwise, he'll just pick a day and kill you and the others to hurt me, and I don't want that. Please, trust me. You get out of here and come back for me, and I'll do my level best to stay alive until you do." Cassidy says.
