Nick had been tossing the idea around in his brain for some time now and the recent events in New York had brought it back to the front of his mind. It was about time S.H.I.E.L.D. started taking a more active role in dealing with the powered set out there.

Nick had gone through some files and had selected a few candidates. Luckily some were already agents. Others he would have to go have a chat with.

"Get Sammy in here," he said over the intercom. "And round up agents Childress, Alice Dugan and Walker. I want to see them as well."

	Sammy lifted inquiring eyes to Dad's shrewd one. She hadn't told her parents about Qamar and Nightingale. As far as she knew, only the Young Avengers had that information. This was Dad, though, and SHIELD watched everyone as soon as they popped up on the radar. "He has an excellent head for turning out different kinds of weapons," she said. 	"I do," she said immediately. "You were the one that made sure I got a crash course in unmanageable with the Avengers," she added as a reminder. "But you know I would have preferred to pull together my own team, so maybe you have somebody else in mind for the position." Her tone recognized his authority to do just that. "Colonel, you're basing your new team on a flying boat. I need a way of getting back and forth that doesn't depend on a daily transport," she pointed out reasonably. "It's been a family joke up to now, but I'll be a reserve member with the Avengers for at least a while, and need finish up my degree while I'm working full time for SHIELD. I know you don't want to face it, Colonel, but it's become a necessity."

	Sammy closed the file and stood up. "That's all I'm asking for, and that requisition will be submitted by tonight. I'll talk to the list." She leaned over the desk.
