Happy Birthday to us
Sydney answered the buzzer to the front gate when it rang and was mildly surprised to find it was the UPS guy. There weren't many packages delivered to the compound. She opened the gate and then went to the front door to sign for and receive the package.

Once the UPS guy (cute one too) was gone, Syd looked at the label. It was for Grace. Time to play delivery girl.

Sydney knocked on the door to Grace's room.

"It's your birthday too?" Grace asked, "I'll have to get you something while we're out, then." Mom sent her some money, and this was certainly something to put it towards. Syd had been great to her.

"What are we waiting for then?" Grace grinned. "Let's go!"

"Deal," Syd smiled. "Ice cream and a movie are perfect. Did...." Syd wasn't sure how to ask this. "Did Simon get you anything?"

Grace shook her head. "I didn't tell him. He had lot to deal with with Mom calling him every other to make sure that I was settling in just fine, and the zombie attacks, so I didn't want to bother him. He's been great helping me settle in."

Syd nodded. "Okay." Which means Syd will be telling him. She knew Simon and knew he wouldn't want to miss this. The little things were important.
