Namor's eyebrows rose slightly as Marrina revealed that she was named for her mother, his wife from years ago.
He simply stared at her for the longest time, as though he were looking for something in her face, in her eyes, that only he could see.
When she found the strength to tell him who she thought she was, though, Namor eyes widened slightly as he saw Marrina in a different light.
"I believe you." he said simply. The longer he thought about it, the more sense it made. Yes, he could have asked for proof, but he didn't believe this girl would say the words if she had any true reason to believe otherwise.
She was brave, like her mother.
"I always wondered if I would find any of you, any of our children. Somewhere along the way, I stopped hoping." he said, his tone low.
"If I had known where you were, Marrina, I would never have left you alone. If you know nothing else of me, I would have you know that. You would have grown up in my house, as a Princess of Atlantis. You are a princess of Atlantis, Marrina.
But, I cannot force you to accept that. So, I ask you: where do we go from here, you and I?"
