Mel giggles at that. Soon, she faces the oncoming staff with less intimidation than with most strangers -- although that's not really saying that much -- and at the first sign of 'Excuse me, Miss, but,' she flashes the piece of paper and says "He's with me."

And that, despite the silliness of the method of going about things, she doesn't sound shy about at all.
