Dinner
Natasha skipped reservations and went for a place that was more casual. One of their favorite places was Big Nick's and it was the perfect place for a casual dinner for mother and son. She sent him a text with the time and a message to meet a big Nick's. She was in the mood for a burger anyway and Big Nick's had great burgers.

She left a note for Tony and James to let them know where she was. Since telling Tony about her pregnancy, he had been overprotective and almost as bad as a mother hen.

She arrived early of course and grabbed a booth. Water was brought to the table and she passed the time by sipping it.

	"Fresh polluted air and you're still gorgeous." He waited for the waiter to set down a glass of ice water and retreat when it didn't look like they were ready to order yet. "Just fine, Mom." 	"I've been showing my collection of B horror flicks to the others. It's not Casablanca, but it helps get people out of their heads for awhile." His next plan was to see if he could get one of the staffers to help him program a Mutant Vegetable Garden training sequence for the Danger Room. "I know it's been awhile since the last one for me. He eyed her warily. Big Nick's might've been their favorite place for burgers, but he'd forgotten it was her favorite place to make announcements she thought would cause a scene. Except Anya hadn't said a word about anything and she always seemed to be the first to drop bad news on him.

"Mikhail decided to give up the thrown and be an astronaut? Or he's been tested and found to be sterile?"

His permanent orders were to do whatever she asked or answer to Dad. Upset Mom and he answered to Dad. It wasn't an argument he could win and he wanted to be a good son.

"I guess it's a good thing this one will start out legitimate. Does this mean your retirement is permanent now so you're here full time for this one?"

One year for him. Four for Anya. Third time's supposed to be the charm, right?

	She wasn't going to lie to him. She never had and she wouldn't start now. "I don't know. As it looks right now, yes I will be around. But we both know that could change."
