He'd only had a small tour of the place, so he led Rose out to the back porch and found only two other people out there, who quickly got up and left when they showed up. Joey didn't think anything of it.
He sat down on the steps and looked out over grounds, reminded for a moment of Australia.
"Do you have family here, Rose?" he asked easily, taking his first bite into the ribs. Damn, she was right; these were great.
