There was somebody waiting to be let in. She stood with her hands on her hips and one foot stepping out. Akilah had come to join the Avengers, since she didn't feel like she had any reason to stay at home in Wakanda any longer.

Perhaps slightly more eye catching in the rec room is its resident. Iason is between trips right now, and scanning for any sign of the Deviants becoming active, or other major events.
At the moment he's doing so by hovering a couple feet off the ground a few feet from the TV, taking in picture-in-picture news to watch CNN and the local news simultaneously.

At the sound of approach, he glances over. "Hello Charlie. Who is your companion? Her accent sounds central African, if I'm guessing correctly."

Akilah's gaze fixed onto Iason, and she tensed. She was, again, unfamiliar with those actually on the Avengers team, and a floating man in the middle of the recreation room didn't allow her to be casual. Although she became a little less tense when he spoke with familiarity to Charlie.

"My name is Akilah Munroe."

She wasn't going to wait for Charlie to introduce her.

	"I apologize, have not had lots of chances to use Wakanda's native tongues. Do not believe they have changed to French like their neighbors? Swahili is... not the best, hope it is ok. He's about to ask Charlie whether its European or Mexican Spanish, and pauses. The distinction would probably be lost there.
"Thank you Miss Munroe. Are you planning to stay a while? It might give me a chance to try some of the Wakandan dishes in Jarvis' cookbooks. They don't get made very often these days, but I've been looking for an excuse to make a couple of them."

He notes her tone and raises a brow. He always finds the mortal perspective fascinating. Particularly how every race seems to regard the others the same way, and the tales that are told of Earth, it government, its people elsewhere. And how in the end, how really similar Skrulls, Shi'ar and humans really were... and Kree used to be. He opens his mouth to mention a handful of Earth dictators, terrorists, threats now and past, then shuts it. Not the time for that discussion, and perhaps the princess of a mostly closed-bordered, occasionally xenophobic nation is not the right person. Besides, who is he to try and change anyone's mind?

"I am certain you will find it quite easy to get yourself set up in the mansion. Let me know if you need any specific assistance."

There was a pause as Akilah examined Iason, trying to figure out what he might be good for doing. She could always use help with carrying her bags...

And then a newcomer appeared! Akilah looked at her and gave a pleasant smile.

"Hello," she replied, "My name is Akilah Munroe."

She turned back to Iason and gave him one more close look. She was wondering if he could help her access any magical artifacts and books that were otherwise out of her reach.
