Ding Dong!
There was somebody waiting to be let in.  She stood with her hands on her hips and one foot stepping out.  Akilah had come to join the Avengers, since she didn't feel like she had any reason to stay at home in Wakanda any longer.

"Akilah, then," he said with a smile, as they made their way down the hallway. "On the right is the library. It's kept very well-stocked and is constantly getting updated. You want a book? You can probably find it there. Plus no return deadlines or fines."

She was curious about the library, actually. "Does your library have any books on magic?"

"Oh yeah. Some of the written by Doctor Strange himself." He raised an eyebrow. "Are you a magic user, by chance?"

She nodded. "I am. I specialize in white magic."

Akilah raised her hand and muttered a short incantation. An orb of light appeared floating above her open palm.

"Cool," Charlie said, the wide grin coming back. "I'm not a magic user myself, but I have a great deal of respect for those that are. It takes a lot of training and patience, from what I've heard."

"Yes, it does. However, I discovered my potential when I was still very young, so I was able to train with both my body and my magical inclination."

She had the orb dissipate and then returned her hand to her side.

"I take it you don't do the whole weather goddess thing, then?"

"No. I did not inherit the mutant gene from my mother. I only possess the magical potential of my lineage."

"Right," Charlie said with a nod. "Anyway, if you ever wanted books on magic, the library has a pretty good selection for you to pick and choose from."

She smiled. Akilah was pleased with the availability of books on magic. Part of the reason she had come to the United States was to further her magical abilities.

"Thank you, Charlie."

"You're welcome." He gave a sincere smile.

"Now...if you're ready, we can continue the tour, if you'd like."

"Okay then," he said, setting off again. "Across the hall is the rec room, well stocked with several different video gaming systems, and an excellent movie library. We keep it pretty up-dated."

She looked into the recreation room, and she wasn't very impressed with it. Although, Akilah didn't play video games or watch television.

"I see."

"It's a lot of fun," Charlie said with a smirk, "We all hang out in there when we;re not training or busy with school or work."
