Field Test
Ezra Kane had been most pleased with the tech provided by Senator Sloane. So far the results were encouraging, but he needed his team to do a real field test. He knew the perfect test to do with the two mutants that Crosshairs and Bloodlust had brought in.

He looked at Phobia and Crosshairs. "You know what to do. Get in, take a look around, get any information you can and then get out. Spectre will be waiting for you call for extraction."

The place was far too quiet and he was way too restless to stay put. Misha decided to head down to the Danger Room to work off some stress. If he didn't do something, the bottle of vodka in his room, the bottle he was supposed to get rid of and didn't in a stupid ass way to challenge himself would start looking like a better way to get some sleep.

Shirtless and in a pair of cutoffs, he left his room with the leather duffle containing the armor over his shoulder. He'd work on finesse with the armor, and all out ass kicking without it. That should eat up most of the next few hours.

Misha continued down the hall through the adult wing from his room. He thought about stopping at Dad's room to see if he was in there, but that would probably get him another comment about how his hair was getting too long and he should cut it before his mother said something. He had to see Mom to get that reminder, so he didn't bother with checking on Dad.

He wandered down the hall with a yawn and face rub.

The flicker caught his attention. He stopped moving and stood very still. His brain ran through the usual checks. He was very awake if mentally exhausted. He'd stopped seeing Tess except in the occasional nightmare. But... He just saw... what?

"You're not losing your mind," he said aloud, "because that's all you have left and Dad will kill you if you do. Keep moving."
