Let's Get Together
He didn't like what had happened to the school. He had decided to go through with the outing anyways. This would be to help the students out. He had two vans ready to go with a third one if they had anyone else show up who wanted to get out. He has a clip board in one hand and a pen in the other.

Some people might notice that his shoes aren't normal sneakers. He had been wearing the ones that had a leg brace build in for one of his legs. Sometimes when he was more stressed out Ezekiel found it more difficult to use one leg so he had a brace for times like that. He didn't need a cane or anything, so long as he had a brace he would be fine.

He glances at his watch and leans against one of the vans. He would check off names and add any more to his lists. He had a feeling that there would be more people coming and he was prepared just in case. Good thing he had plenty of older students coming too.

He looks up from his list. "Miss Drake," he greets.

Then nods very quietly. "I'm glad you'll be going with us still."

Her name gets checked off the list. "If you need to leave early, let me know please."

Lucas comes along as well. He's been a blur of motion ever since dragging the telepaths back to their own minds. There's healing to do, therapy to help with, repairs to be done, cooking, letters to the dead students' parents, letters to family for the comatose. Everything he could do.
But this is part of the healing process as well. As usual, he's not playing, but he's happy to come along and escape the nightmares and try to encourage the kids to have some fun.

She gave him a small smile. "I wouldn't miss it, Mr. Brooks. I'll be fine, thanks. I'm just still adjusting to...things." Cait looked at the other van. "Do you need another driver?"

He nods and pulls out a second set of keys. "I do."

He tosses her the extra set of keys. "Good to have you both. Having extra pairs of eyes on the others s never a bad thing but I want you both to try and unwind. Play darts or something. Eat food that's bad for you. Remember good things."

He takes this very seriously. Being on the force taught him down time was important and he felt he should pass that on.

Cait went to catch the keys with her bad hand without thinking about it. The keys fell to the ground and she bent over to pick them up. She would eventually learn to use her other hand instead of the bad done.

Zak arrived next, and despite what happened to the school, he was a happy lookin' camper. "Hey!" he shouted. "This is gonna be awesome!"

He gleamed with excitement.

Sophie walked out with her army post bag resting on her shoulder and her camera in her hand. "Hey guys." she said with a small smile.

Ezekiel has his lists then greets Sophie with a smile. Sure they don't let cameras in the laser tag 'arena' but he was sure Sophie would still try getting some pictures. "Miss LeBeau," he greets.

He won't focus on Cait having to pick up the keys. She doesn't need the added attention. "And Mr Gutherie."

Aaron was walking over towards the vans his face still was covered in bruises but he need to get out and do something. This outing was just what he needed to relax.

“Hey I’m here,” said Aaron excitedly.

Joe would have begged off coming, had he not promised he'd pitch in with this. And the kids needed it. Not needing much, if any, sleep, he'd been practically working around the clock. He could make up a few hours in the early morn, he supposed.

Despite the assurances, Lucas will still skip the junk food. After a lifetime of organic and home made, it never sits well with him.
"Thank you, Mr. Brooks. I think they'll have the hockey game on in the lobby too. I'm not the greatest driver, but I have my license. If anyone needs to leave early, I can take them."

Zak waved to each person as they arrived, and nodded to Mr. Brooks when he was greeted. And then he grinned at Cait, and scooted close to Mr. Brooks. He was a bit of a troublemaker.

Lucas settles in in Cait's van next to his girlfriend. He's got good coping mechanisms, as well as actual training for helping others through grief, but he still really appreciates her presence.

She'd happily play anything from ping-pong to Mornington Crescent to think about something else for a while.

"I got it," Misha said behind her. Anger and guilt burned low in his gut, masked by his unusual quiet. He hadn't returned to class after coming home to find the devastation left in the wake of the Mauraders' attack. What little sleep he'd been getting was now gone as he helped out where he could.

"Wait. Where's Molly?" He just found her name on his list. The teacher frowns tapping his chin. "Is she still up for this outing?"

Lyta quietly made her way to van. She wanted to stay with Gabriel, but he'd insisted that she go out and enjoy herself.

As she was still kicking herself for not being there the other day, she could at least force a smile and try and enjoy herself.
