Nicholas serves himself a generous helping of whatever's made. Food is food. He eats standing up though, leaning against a counter - habit from childhood. It was always easier that way to quickly dismiss himself or take off if things got unpleasant when foster families or 'kids' homes' got together. Only time he sat down to eat was when he was in minimal company that he felt comfortable with - so far, that's Irina - or in front of the TV.
"That's not a bad idea, Tink. If you are eventually going to learn enough to get certified, which would make you a ton more money, you ought to learn to ride a bike. It'd be on your own time, but if you'll put the time in voluntarily, and work on getting your license, we can get you parts and a frame and build you your own bike, custom."
